Development History

RavenQuest has been in the making for seven years, with a strong focus on player-driven economies, dynamic storytelling, and deep customization. The game underwent two years of private beta testing, leading up to this global release.

Play to Earn in RavenQuest

Unlike other MMORPGs, RavenQuest features a fully decentralized economy, meaning every item and resource in the game is player-owned. Players can earn in multiple ways:

  • Land Ownership: Generate passive income through in-game commerce.
  • PvP Tournaments: Earn valuable in-game currency and items.
  • Tradepacks & Raids: Ambush enemy trade routes and steal their loot.
  • Player-Driven Economy: Craft, buy, sell, and trade unique assets with other players.

Past Airdrop Events & Land Sales

Before this, RavenQuest offered various opportunities to engage with its world through land sales and play to airdrop events. The game's land sales have been a major highlight, allowing players to own virtual plots that contribute to the game's economy. The most recent land sale, which took place in last December, featured 1,535 plots of various sizes, including Small Estates, Medium Estates, Large Estates, Strongholds, and Forts. Prices for these properties started at $114 USDC, and the sale was structured in three phases. Those who took part in the game by earning 250 Gold through gameplay and referrals had a chance to secure a spot in the whitelist before the public sale. Prior to this, an earlier land sale in last September introduced 4,000 land plots at an initial price of $108 USDC, with whitelists granted to those who engaged in Discord and other activities.

Furthermore, RavenQuest has rewarded its most active players through major play to airdrop (P2A) events, giving out its premium on-chain token, $QUEST, as part of these efforts. One of the most notable airdrops occurred in August 2024, with a massive 10 million $QUEST giveaway. Players could earn GOLD by completing achievements, daily logins, referrals, and event-based missions, with their GOLD stash determining their ranking on the leaderboard. Higher-ranked players were then rewarded with larger portions of the airdrop. Another airdrop event in last December gave out 11 million $QUEST tokens and introduced new game mechanics such as the Renown System and the "Feed the Munk" feature.
