Ragnarok Landverse, a Web3 MMORPG based on the long-running traditional MMO, Ragnarok Online, is now officially live in closed beta.
Everyone who is interested in participating can do so by heading to the official website where you can download the game to play on PC for free, with the game available to pre-registered users who receive an invite by email. On the same page, you can pre-register for the upcoming Grand Launch, which is the full release of the blockchain MMORPG, but you can also do that through the link found in the tweet down below. By pre-registering (while spots still remain), you will be able to receive various different rewards in the future upon release. The more people pre-register, the more rewards will be given. Pre-registration rewards go up to a million players, and as of writing, according to the website, more than 200k players have pre-registered so far.
The closed beta test started on June 29 at 10 AM GMT+8 and will end on July 12 at the same time. According to the FAQ, all progress made during this testing phase will not be saved.
In this play-to-earn title, players can choose from 6 different classes to play as while exploring the open-world of the Ragnarok Universe, enjoying various systems along the way, such as a land (housing) system, a pet system, an automatic (idle) system, and more, in top-down 2D gameplay. The roadmap in the whitepaper states that the game is set to officially launch in August this year.
