Ragnarok Breaker Launches with a Three-Game Crossover

The Nine Chronicles universe just got bigger. YGG Play and Planetarium Labs have officially launched Ragnarok Breaker, a web-based wave-survival roguelike auto-shooter, the studios confirmed through their official channels. The game went live on June 11, 2026, published by YGG Play, the publishing arm of Yield Guild Games. To celebrate the launch, Ragnarok Breaker has partnered with Nine Chronicles and PetPop for a massive crossover event packed with rewards, competitions, and exclusive collectibles.

The crossover ties together three connected games in a single launch celebration, with rewards flowing across the entire ecosystem. The event is structured around three distinct reward tracks, each targeting a different way of playing and engaging with the games. The studio's invitation is direct: start playing, climb the rankings, and claim your share of the rewards.

Ragnarok Breaker drew strong early interest, attracting more than 3,000 pre-registrations ahead of launch, with 58% of sign-ups coming through referrals. That referral-heavy growth reflected anticipation among web3 gaming guilds already familiar with Nine Chronicles and its NCG token economy.

Track A: Play and Earn

The first reward track, Track A, focuses on play and earn. To complete it, players sign up for Ragnarok Breaker, link their account, and clear Stage 20. Doing so earns a package of rewards including 900,000 Crystal, 330 Hourglass, 10 AP Potions, 150 Golden Dust, and 1 Breaker Rune. On top of that, every linked account receives a Breaker Rune Shard.

The Breaker Rune is a centerpiece of the crossover rewards. It is a powerful Grade 8 Rune that can remove enemy buffs in Adventure, Arena, and Raid content in Nine Chronicles. Players who collect 10 shards through trading can unlock a Level 1 Breaker Rune and strengthen their build. That mechanic ties Ragnarok Breaker activity directly back into Nine Chronicles, giving players a reason to engage across both games.

Track B: The First RB League Championship

The second track, Track B, is built around competition. The First RB League Championship features two special launch tournaments with a combined prize pool of 400,000 NCG. Beyond the NCG, the tournaments also distribute millions of Crystal, Breaker Rune rewards, and exclusive titles.

The championship is split across two rounds. Round 1 runs from June 19 to 21, with the first-place finisher earning 5,000,000 Crystal and 15,000 NCG. The Round 2 Final runs from June 26 to 28, with the first-place winner taking home 5,000,000 Crystal, 15,000 NCG, 30 Breaker Runes, and the Bridge Champion Title. The staggered tournament structure gives competitive players two separate windows to compete for the top prizes.

Track C: PetPop Rewards

The third track, Track C, brings PetPop into the crossover. Players who clear Stage 20 with a linked PetPop account earn POP 50,000 weekly. Players who qualify across all reward checks can earn up to POP 150,000 in total. On top of the POP rewards, eligible purchasers also receive a permanent 30% STAR Boost.

The PetPop track extends the crossover's reach into a third game, rewarding players who connect their accounts across the ecosystem. The combination of weekly POP rewards and the permanent STAR Boost gives PetPop players a lasting benefit from participating in the launch event, reinforcing the cross-game connections at the heart of the celebration.

Inside Ragnarok Breaker: A Build-Driven Roguelike Auto-Shooter

Ragnarok Breaker is a browser-based wave-survival roguelike auto-shooter where players survive the Valhalla Trials and climb the League. Developed by Planetarium Labs, the studio behind Nine Chronicles, it is the second official IP expansion of the Nine Chronicles universe and the first game built entirely on Verse8, Planetarium's AI-native game creation platform. Notably, the game was completed in just three days from a single prompt, showcasing the development velocity of the Verse8 platform.

The game is structured around short, build-driven runs. Instead of using fixed character classes, players define their build through Wave Shop choices made during each run. These choices are organized around five Meta Tags, named Shot, Zone, Life, Bomb, and Flow, which support different combat approaches including projectile damage, area control, and explosive critical hits. The result is that two players can start a run identically and finish with completely different builds.

Item progression adds further depth. Items advance across four tiers up to Legendary Crowns, named for Norse artifacts such as Mjolnir and Gungnir, that reshape how a build functions rather than just raising its numbers. A collection of 42 pets can be deployed up to 10 at a time, running as a second build layer alongside item synergies. The game features two endgame modes, the Valhalla Trials and the League, giving players both PvE survival challenges and competitive ranked play.

Inside the Nine Chronicles Ecosystem

Nine Chronicles is a fully decentralized onchain MMORPG developed by Planetarium Labs, known for its idle mechanics and active NCG token economy. The game runs without centralized servers, with all game logic and transactions managed onchain. Its economy is built around NCG, also known as Nine Chronicles Gold, used across competitive rewards, marketplace activity, and player progression.

Ragnarok Breaker represents the second IP expansion of the Nine Chronicles universe, extending the franchise into a more accessible, fast-paced format. The expansion strategy reflects a broader thesis that taking a strong existing web3 IP and expanding it into new, accessible formats is an effective growth approach. By fusing Planetarium Labs' AI-driven development on Verse8 with YGG Play's community-first publishing model, the two studios have built a pipeline from a single AI prompt to a competitive, guild-filled launch.

YGG guilds have a history with Nine Chronicles. Communities including Allgud, NFT X-Street, Synergy Guild, Sando, and AxU have previously played the game, drawn by its idle mechanics that kept progress moving. Nine Chronicles was featured in YGG's Guild Advancement Program, which ended after 10 seasons in August 2025. In GAP Season 6, Nine Chronicles recorded 11,723 quest sign-ups, ranking second among eight featured games, and later returned for Season 7.

The YGG Play Publishing Model

YGG Play, the publishing arm of Yield Guild Games, published Ragnarok Breaker under a model that lets developers keep full ownership of their IP. YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon described the publisher as a launchpad built to flip the traditional publisher model on its head, with developers retaining full ownership rather than ceding it. Dizon framed the launch as proof of the power of expanding a strong IP like Nine Chronicles into new, accessible formats, adding that it was time to let the players take over.

The publisher has been building momentum around what it calls the Casual Degen category of web3 games, fast, accessible titles designed for crypto-native players. Earlier in 2026, YGG Play and Verse8 co-hosted the Casual Degen track of BuidlHack 2026 at Korea Buidl Week, where 120 teams submitted prototypes in under a month, with standout projects under review for publication by YGG Play. Ragnarok Breaker fits squarely into that category as a quick-to-play, build-driven roguelike.

What Players Need to Know

Ragnarok Breaker is live now, playable directly through web browsers at the official site. The launch crossover event spans three reward tracks. Track A rewards players for signing up, linking their account, and clearing Stage 20. Track B is the First RB League Championship with a 400,000 NCG combined prize pool across two tournament rounds on June 19 to 21 and June 26 to 28. Track C rewards players with linked PetPop accounts.

For now, the message from the studios is a call to jump in across the whole ecosystem. The launch celebration is packed with rewards across Ragnarok Breaker, Nine Chronicles, and PetPop. As the team put it, players should start playing, climb the rankings, and claim their share of the rewards as the gates to Valhalla open and the Leagues begin to fill.
