Questing platform KGeN (Kratos Gamer Network) has introduced the rKGEN rewards token this month, and users who collect it can qualify for the upcoming $KGEN airdrop.
On this gaming platform, users will be able to start earning rKGEN, a rewards platform token that is on-chain but functionally limited to the platform itself alongside “whitelisted smart contracts,” according to details revealed in the official announcement thread. As such, it is non-transferrable, but is crucial to collect, as users will be able to redeem it for the upcoming $KGEN token at a 1:1 ratio, burning rKGEN in the process. The token has been introduced in order to reward its dedicated community and partners who have contributed to the platform’s growth since launch. As such, the team describes the introduction of this token as being “our fairdrop before the airdrop.”
Users who earn rKGEN can even stake it to multiply their holdings and thus end up with a bigger airdrop of $KGEN post-TGE. The staking function however is set to be available in the coming weeks, but only for those who have participated in the platform between 2022 and December 31st, 2024, as these users will be the first who will be able to claim the new platform token. New users joining now can look forward to having rKGEN “programmatically distributed” through K-Drop, partnered communities, Creator programs, and more.
To earn rKGEN tokens on the Aptos chain, you should start gathering K-Points on the Animoca-backed KGeN platform, which is available on web browsers, but also on Android and iOS devices via the Play Stoer and App Store respectively. These points are earned by completing various K-Quests as well as K-Drop campaigns that may contain either social or gameplay-focused tasks, or both.
Anyone can create an account on this questing platform for free in an easy, web2-friendly way. The available sign up options include Google, Discord, X, and WhatsApp. You don’t need to have a crypto wallet to set up your profile. In fact, once you register, a wallet will be automatically created for you with an EVM address and Aptos address. You can also connect your own wallet if you want to though.
With an account set up, you can start navigating the list of K-Quests and K-Drop campaigns and start completing them to earn K-Points. These missions and campaigns with multiple tasks are available for a limited time, so you’ll want to complete as many as you can as soon as possible to stack up rewards. Not only are they available for a limited time, but they even have limited slots for reward distribution. The tasks you can do on this platform cover a multitude of different web3 gaming projects, including Badmad Robots, Ragnarok: Monster World, Ancient8, and more.
As of writing, it’s not possible to convert K-Points to rKGEN yet. Details on when that will be possible and what the conversion rate will be have not yet been revealed.
Next to K-Points, quests on this platform may even provide other rewards. As the quests are hosted by third parties, these rewards can significantly vary. They might include USDT rewards or prizes in other tokens not related to the platform. This means that each quest has its own prize pool, and is why they offer limited slots, with rewards claimable by eligible participants after the quest or campaign is over, though some campaigns might let you claim tokens straight away after doing all of the tasks.
Info on the TGE date for $KGEN is not available at the time of writing, but if you want to get this upcoming airdrop, then you should start your quest and earn journey on the platform as soon as possible to potentially secure a larger allocation.
