Before the big $1 million championship for Tokyo Beast Trials begins, anyone interested in playing and earning rewards in this upcoming game has until March 23rd to register for the $20k CBT Tournament.
What Is the Tokyo Beast Trials CBT Tournament?
The CBT Tournament is an opportunity for players to try out Tokyo Beast Trials in a Closed Beta Test phase while competing for a total prize pool of $20k worth of rewards.
This is also referred to as the Pre-Championship event, and it’s designed to be an online competition for the PC version of this PvP game. The event will last 6 days, consisting of a 5-day qualifying period, and a 1-day Finals event, with a 1-week preparation period between the two. If you end up among the top 20 players from the qualifying round, you get to go to the Finals, where the champion will get $10k worth of the game’s own token.
During this tournament, players will battle it out using the ARENA feature, which is a 1v1 battle game mode where you compete in action-packed 3D fighting gameplay for ARENA points. If you win a match, you get ARENA points, but if you lose, then your points are deducted instead. If you end up among the top 20 players with the highest number of ARENA points in the qualifying round, you get to go to the Finals.
The Finals event will utilize a 1v1 tournament format, with matches set to be played in full-auto mode. This means that players eligible for the Finals will have to submit a deck formation before a certain deadline in order to participate. In this game, players can create unique deck formations for their BEAST characters. Decks consist of “MODs” you can equip your character with. Doing so allows you to boost various stats, such as defense, attack power, and so on. This part of the tournament will be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube, and since you don't have to play in real-time for this part, you can sit back and watch the stream alongside the community.
