LOL Land is officially launching on May 23, and anyone can pre-register before then for some extra rolls that will give you a head start in the upcoming web3 game.
LOL Land is a browser-based casual board game and the first blockchain game by Yield Guild Games’ very own in-house studio. It’s launching exclusively on Abstract Chain this Friday, May 23, and will have players enjoy some fun digital board gameplay across a varied set of different themed boards while playing to earn rewards such as Abstract XP, exclusive NFTs, and $YGG tokens.
Among the boards you’ll roll the dice in are the sunny Beach Day game board, as well as the frosty Ice World Wonderland, which actually includes members from the Pudgy Penguins IP. Next to the famous NFT collection, the web3 title is also set to include a number of other “surprise special guests,” according to an official X announcement.
As you make in-game rolls and move your character across the board, you’ll step on a variety of different tiles through which you will likely collect points that impact the number of rewards you get to earn. So, if you’re lucky enough with your rolls, you could end up winning big. Aside from video snippets of gameplay, there isn’t any detailed info on the actual game mechanics at the time of writing, so we’ll have to wait for launch to find out how the gameplay and play and earn systems actually work. But overall, you will be able to earn prizes through gameplay, and according to an official post, you can expect it to be somewhat similar to Monopoly, just that this game “cranks up the thrill for Web3 degens” while giving every a roll a potential chance of winning some goodies.
While it does seem like anyone will be able to get started for free as you will be given a set number of rolls to play with, anyone looking to play more afterwards will have to either earn in-game rolls or purchase them. As the whole game revolves around using in-game rolls to make random moves across the map, players who have plenty of rolls are more likely to have bigger chances of earning rewards.
LOL Land is also included in YGG GAP Season 10, which just kicked off on May 19 with dozens of game quests and more across titles such as Splinterlands, Wildcard, DeFi Kingdoms, and more. Once the blockchain-powered board game goes live, you can likely expect some quests to go live for the highly-anticipated title for more opportunities to play and earn in what is said to be the web3 guild protocol’s biggest season yet.
The developers were initially preparing to launch LOL Land on April 15, but ended up delaying it to May 2, and then again to May 23. It does seem like the game is now finally ready to publicly go live for everyone to enjoy, with a launch party planned in Malaysia for May 24.
If you want to increase your chances of winning rewards early on while being one of the first players to start rolling the dice in LOL Land, then you’ll definitely want to pre-register as soon as possible for some bonus free in-game rolls!

It’s not stated how many bonus rolls you’ll get for doing this, but any amount is certainly nice to have ready to use on launch.
