How to Play to Whitelist in Merge Pals

For a limited time, you can play to whitelist in Merge Pals by logging into the game every day via the Ronin network and completing daily quests to earn points. These points are used to climb your way up to the top of the leaderboard, where the top 500 participants will win a guaranteed whitelist spot for the Genesis Pals NFT collection. If you do end up qualifying, the Ronin wallet you used to register for this event will be the one that is whitelisted, and you will not be able to switch accounts or wallets afterwards.

Get started by heading to the official whitelist page on the game’s website, where you can connect your wallet to begin completing various missions. While you can use your MetaMask wallet to connect to Ronin for this event, the developers recommend using the Ronin Wallet for a more convenient experience. Doing so should also reward you with an exclusive welcome package. Quests range from referring friends and checking in to doing your usual social tasks. Next to the NFT allocation, you may also end up winning other prizes from this event’s prize pool, which is said to include Gacha Tickets, Awakening Dusts, Fame, and perhaps more exclusive guaranteed whitelists.

Awakening Dust is a special NFT that can be used to awaken Genesis Pals, with the process said to unlock a unique bonus skill while improving their appearance and performance in idle battles. You’ll need 5 Awakening Dusts to awaken one Genesis Pal, and aside from doing missions, players can acquire Awakening Dust through various events but also by purchasing it from the marketplace. Even if you don’t get whitelisted through this event, you still have a chance of earning Awakening Dust and Fame.

The amount of points a certain activity awards can significantly vary. Here are all the actions that award points:

  • Spend $1: +300 pts
  • Invite a friend: +1 pt
  • Daily On-chain Check-in: +15 pts
  • Complete a Quest: +2 pts

What Are Genesis Pals?

Genesis Pals are 5000 premium in-game NFTs in Merge Pals that are designed to provide tactical advantages in missions and tournaments. They can be awakened (upgraded) and will be usable through a rental system as well.

There are various benefits to owning a Genesis Pal, according to the official whitelist page. These benefits include passive income from rentals, permanent upgrades & awakening, exclusive participation in boss battles & rankings, increased earning potential, and higher success rates in various missions.

By owning this NFT, holders will have the opportunity to rent out their Pals for use in missions. Doing so earns owners resources and gives other players a helping hand in overcoming challenging quests. Through the Awakening system, holders can permanently upgrade NFT Pals to make them even stronger in battle while visually changing their appearance, a perk that is not available for Normal Pets. Awakened NFTs are also said to be able to keep their status across seasons, making them useful long-term assets.

If you want to play Boss Missions, you need to have Genesis Pals, as they grant you exclusive entry into these high-stakes quests that are said to feature big rewards and Valor Points (VP). Holders also get to compete on exclusive leaderboards featuring prizes up for grabs for the top players.

As you level up Genesis Pals from level 1 to the maximum level 70, the amount of ranking points and mission rewards you earn is increased. Further boosting earning potential seems to be an Element Bonus System, which is said to give owners 10-20% bonus rewards for certain missions, but only if you’re using the right NFT for them.

Next to all these benefits, NFT Pals also have higher success rates in missions but also faster completion times, with NFTs of higher level said to unlock exclusive quests and boss fights to enjoy for rarer prizes.
