Though Off the Grid may not be a top darling on Twitch at the moment, the game itself is still going strong with a solid, active playerbase. But to spice things up a bit, Off the Grid has released a new update, and opened up a ‘Clash for Cash' tournament, with prizes given out in USD!
Off the Grid has impressed gamers of all kinds, with over 10 million wallets created as part of onboarding new players to the game.
Clash for Cash is a leaderboard-based tournament for the early access shooter game, Off the Grid. Featuring a daily prize pool of $3000 USD, Clash for Cash is the first play to earn event for Off the Grid that is open to everyone!
The Clash for Cash tournament is already under way, with no specific deadline given. Prizes are awarded daily at 20:00 UTC to the top ten players for the past day. Players earn points for the leaderboard based on match placement, number of kills and assists, and HEX extractions.
The first place player each day will receive $1,000 USD! Second place earns $500, with rewards scaling down from there to $50 for 9th and 10th places. The top finishers will need to link their accounts and claim their prizes within two days of winning,
Head over the official Clash for Cash webpage to read the full rules, see the current leaderboard, and register for the competition. Off the Grid is free to play, and available across a variety of platforms. So if you think you have what it takes to be a top player in this shooter, now is the chance to get awarded for strutting your stuff!
As part of their most recent update, Off the Grid has introduced new, separate player pools – one for consoles and one for desktops. Xbox and PS5 players will be able to compete against one another. And Mac and Windows players will also share game servers. But the two groups will not play matches together.
This was an interesting patch note to see as just the other note I was teamed up with a couple of console players who were complaining that PC players could shoot much faster than they could. In a perfect world, players across all platforms would be able to compete together, and perhaps that will come in future updates. But, for now, console and PC players still share the same marketplace and game space, but not the same battlegrounds.
Set in a future world, Off the Grid is a deadly, competitive game show where contestants sacrifice their natural limbs in order to equip enhanced prosthetics and compete in the game arena for wealth and fame.
Off The Grid is a third person, multiplayer shooter currently available in early access on PC, Xbox, and PS5 devices. Players wield a variety of weapons and power-ups (through the prosthetic limbs) to battle across a detailed cityscape.
Each player starts off with nothing more than a handgun and basic equipment. But scattered liberally throughout the battleground are chests containing items, limbs, weapons, and cash. Equip the items and/or use cash to called in a specific loadout that you setup before the game.
Fight until only one team is left standing. Players can also find special HEX boxes in game. Use designated extraction points to claim these HEX boxes, which can then be opened out of game to reveal game items of all types, including weapons, cosmetics, upgrades, and cyberlimbs.
Off the Grid offers an active marketplace and a battle pass system, but both are only available to those who purchase a premium, monthly subscription.
