The team behind Duper is back with more high-stakes on-chain gaming with the launch of Season 7, which brings with it a variety of new features and improvements to help lower the barrier to entry for a more accessible web3 gaming experience.
What Is Duper?
Duper is a 5-player free for all strategy game that combines elements of board games, card games, and social deduction. It features a mix of territorial control, resource production, card-based combos, diplomacy, and real money competition. The design draws inspiration from chess and Teamfight Tactics for strategic depth, Catan for trading, Among Us for deception, and Poker for card-driven decision making. Sessions last about 15 to 30 minutes, and players compete to meet one of several victory conditions, including tile count, straight flush, last player standing, or round limit victory.
The game takes place on a map of interconnected tiles. Each tile may contain troops, buildings, or barbarians at the start of a match. Players expand, negotiate, battle, and use cards to produce stronger units or unlock talents. Gems serve as the primary diplomatic resource and determine prize distribution at the end of a session. Every move influences both the chance of winning and the chance of earning. This structure supports a competitive economy where victories return the entry fee and gem distribution decides how the remaining pool is awarded.
Duper offers multiple game modes, including ranked, casual, custom matches, and tutorials. New players receive a welcome bonus after completing early tasks. The game is available through its official website and mobile app in supported regions. Even if you’re new to the game, the developers continue to try to make changes each season to further try and deliver an engaging blockchain gaming experience for both veterans and newcomers. Let’s check out what they have in store for this final season of the year.
What Is New in Duper Season 7?
Duper Season 7 launched on November 17 and runs until January 31, 2026. The development team highlighted that for this season, they aim to address 2 long-standing community concerns: long matchmaking times during low traffic periods and player hesitation regarding potential losses. This season introduces changes that directly respond to both issues.
Season 7 adds Blitzmatch, a feature that guarantees a casual game within 30 seconds. This ensures that players can begin sessions quickly, even during slow hours. Ranked mode also benefits from improved matchmaking with a 10-minute maximum wait time for all players and a 5-minute maximum for Gold Pass holders.
Another major new feature is the $0.1 Mode. This casual mode allows players to engage with real money gameplay at a very low entry fee, creating an experience close to free to play conditions while being designed for players who want to practice, take fewer risks, or learn the game economy in a low-pressure environment.
Every player gets to receive a free Season 7 pass. This provides Silver Pass rewards at no cost and those include Sparks, vouchers, keys, emblems, and Cody emotes, with all this supposedly worth up to $50. Players can upgrade to the Gold Pass, which costs $30 and provides rewards said to be worth up to $140. Gold Pass owners also receive instant cashback in vouchers, loss subsidy raffles during 2-loss streaks, and faster ranked matchmaking.
Season 7 also includes new bundles that offer higher value than previous seasons. Game quality improvements cover user interface updates, animations, and beginner quests. Cody emotes are now also available through the pass, bundles, and lootboxes. More Cody emotes are planned for later in the season.
For new players, there is a welcome bonus that can be earned by completing tutorials and 2 casual games to earn 200 Sparks and 20 vouchers worth $0.2 each, with the total value of all being $4.
How to Play to Earn in Duper Season 7
Season 7 keeps the core earning structure of Duper intact while adding more accessible ways for players to participate. Earnings in the game come from a mix of competitive performance, diplomatic positioning, and milestone rewards from the Season Pass.
Players can play to earn in several ways, one of which of course includes winning a session, as that always returns the entry fee. Whether in ranked or casual mode, a winner never loses money. After the winner receives the equivalent of the entry fee back, the rest of the prize pool is divided according to gem ownership. The more gems a player holds that match the color of the winner, the larger their share of the remaining amount. This means a player does not need to win the session directly to earn. Instead, players can negotiate effectively, obtain gems from others, or support the likely winner to secure a payout.
To make this a more accessible on-chain gaming experience, this season offers new low-cost opportunities through the $0.1 Mode. This mode allows players to experiment with strategies and diplomacy with minimal financial commitment. It is a route for players to practice earning patterns without significant risk while also being useful for accumulating Abstract XP, which can be earned in both casual and ranked modes.
The Season 7 pass also provides structured earning opportunities. The free Silver Pass offers up to $50 worth of direct rewards over the season. These rewards include keys, Sparks, emblems, vouchers, and Cody emotes. The Gold Pass provides even more direct rewards and includes instant cashback. Gold Pass owners receive $30 dollars in vouchers immediately, which offsets the cost of the pass for committed players. They also gain access to loss-subsidy raffles. These raffles activate after every 2-loss streak and offer either vouchers or Sparks. For players who play frequently, this system significantly increases the overall expected return of the season.
Next to all these avenues, players can also participate in Duper League events. These take place twice per week with a $10 entry requirement. The tournaments offer large prize pools with structured competitive play. Season 7 is also set to include the upcoming Duper Bowl, which will be announced later in the season.
Finally, players can use Sparks to open lootboxes, extend turn time, or convert unwanted emblems into Sparks. This allows for flexible economic activity that contributes to long term account value.
Season 7 creates a more accessible environment for earning through faster matchmaking, the new low entry mode, and free pass rewards, and there’s plenty of time to participate. If you’d like to try and play to earn in Duper, you can get started by creating an account on the game’s official website for a browser-based gaming experience. Anyone who wants to play on mobile and lives in the US can download the web3 title on Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.
