ChronosWorlds has officially confirmed the date and prize pool for its long-awaited event, Season 0, starting October 30 and running until November 14. The season will last 17 days and include a mix of solo, guild, and creator-based challenges backed by a prize pool of 3 million $SPHR tokens, plus a community-shared fund based on Season 0 Pass sales.
This follows several weeks of teaser from Sphere Studios, who previously rolled out details about the Season 0 Game Pass last week. With this new update, we now have a full breakdown of how rewards, gameplay, and participation will work.
ChronosWorlds Season 0 Dates, Duration, and Entry Details
Season 0 of ChronosWorlds begins October 30 at 3:00 PM UTC and ends November 14, offering over 2 weeks of competitive play across several in-game modes. The event is free to try, but to join the leaderboard contests and qualify for rewards, players must own the Season 0 Pass.
This pass costs $30 USDC or 81 RON, but is now discounted by 30%, lowering the entry price to $21 USDC or 55 RON. Owning the pass not only allows entry into Season 0 but also grants free daily Energy and access to token-based rewards.
Base Prize Pool: 3,000,000 $SPHR
The base prize pool for Season 0 is locked at 3 million $SPHR, split across 3 groups:
- Individual Leaderboard: 1.5 million $SPHR
- Guild Leaderboard: 1 million $SPHR
- Creators: 500,000 $SPHR
Apart from this base allocation, a separate shared pool will grow depending on how many Season Passes are sold.
Shared Sales Pool in USDC/RON
ChronosWorlds is also offering an extra fund in USDC and RON. This fund comes from Season 0 Pass sales, which means the more passes sold, the larger this shared prize pool becomes. According to the team, the total sales revenue from passes will be split as follows:
- Individual Leaderboard: 30%
- Creators: 15%
- Guild Referrals: 5%
- ChronosWorlds (Development & Marketing): 50%
This model gives both casual and competitive players an extra reason to take part, as the community can benefit from overall participation.
Leaderboards and Strategic Play
Season 0 will also feature multiple leaderboards. The Individual Leaderboard includes a share of both $SPHR tokens and the extra USDC/RON prize fund. Players must focus their gameplay and energy usage wisely across 3 main game modes to score well.
Some game modes, such as Ambush, offer more points and tokens than others. Adventure Mode gives smaller point rewards but is key to leveling up and collecting crafting materials. Tournament Mode (PvP) is also included, but full details will be shared later.
Guilds will have their own shared reward pool in $SPHR. Every action by a member contributes to the overall guild ranking, encouraging teamwork and coordination.
Energy, Candies, and Efficiency
ChronosWorlds uses an Energy-based system to limit and manage gameplay. All players begin with 30 base Energy, but this limit can grow through in-game purchases.
With a Season 0 Pass, you'll get 35 Energy daily, gradually replenished. Players can also earn 5 extra Energy per day by staying active for at least an hour.
There are also 2 types of Energy Candies:
- Standard Candies: Cost $2.20 USDC or 6 RON each and restore 15 Energy points
- Explosive Candies: Cost $5.30 USDC or 14 RON each and extend your max Energy permanently
Players can consume up to 10 standard candies per day, but overuse will cause fatigue, making each action cost more Energy. Explosive Candies, on the other hand, offer a permanent increase in max Energy, up to a cap of 100 Energy, allowing players more room to play strategically.
Depending on how high your base Energy is, each Explosive Candy increases the cap by a different amount. At max usage (7 candies), a player can reach the full 100 Energy cap.
Game Modes in ChronosWorlds Season 0
3 gameplay modes are available throughout Season 0:
Adventure Mode
This is the story-driven dungeon experience where players can collect items, earn XP, and craft gear. It's less focused on points but still valuable for progression and leveling up.
Ambush Mode
Ambush is the top mode for earning points and tokens. It's built for experienced players with upgraded characters and rare gear. This is where most competitive players will likely spend their Energy.
Tournament Mode (PvP)
Tournament Mode is focused on player-versus-player battles and is free from Energy costs. It's ideal for practice and refining combat skills ahead of Ambush battles.
Creators Program and Platform Rewards
Content creators are also being rewarded this season. A dedicated pool of 500,000 $SPHR and 15% of pass sale revenue is set aside for creators who publish videos, posts, or streams about the game.
This creator pool is split across 5 platforms equally:
- YouTube: 20%
- Twitter: 20%
- Streaming platforms: 20%
- TikTok: 20%
- Instagram: 20%
Creators must submit their work through the ChronosWorlds Discord. The team will judge entries based on creativity, quality, and engagement. Submitting content to multiple platforms improves your chances of winning.
Guild Referrals
Guilds partnered with ChronosWorlds will also earn from Season Pass sales. 5% of each sale using a guild's referral link goes to that guild. Another 5% from general sales (without a referral) will be split between the top 3 guilds that refer the most players.
This system adds an extra incentive for guilds to promote participation and recruit new players before the season begins.
NFT Travelers and Seasonal Multipliers
Player progression in Season 0 can be boosted using NFT Travelers, which come with rarity-based bonuses. These NFTs can be bought from the official OpenSea collection.
Each Traveler gives a point multiplier depending on its rarity. Some examples include:
- Genesis: 100% bonus
- Robots: 50%
- Plants and Foxes: 40%
- Humans: 25%
Color backgrounds affect bonuses too. A Purple background gives a 70% point boost, Light Blue offers 50%, and Green gives 40%.
Only the active Traveler being used will apply bonuses. The number of NFTs held doesn't increase bonuses. A Fusion System is in development that will let you combine NFTs to upgrade rarity, offering more powerful boosts in later seasons.
Strategic Planning Matters
Since Energy is limited and not all game modes reward equally, players are encouraged to plan their days and focus efforts where the biggest gains can be made. Those who manage Energy wisely, take advantage of their Traveler NFTs, and perform well in Ambush or Adventure will likely earn the most across the leaderboards.
