Mobile game developer Estoty Games has announced September 9 as the starting date for Season 1 of Shatterpoint, giving the blockchain gaming community the chance to play to airdrop the $POINT token for free through competitive gameplay.
What is Shatterpoint?
Shatterpoint is a free to play RPG and MOBA hybrid where players collect Shards, complete objectives, and compete in fast-paced 3v3 matches as customizable heroes. The mobile game features competitive leaderboards and gameplay-focused crypto reward mechanics.
The project has gone through multiple iterations since 2021 and entered a co-development phase with Big Time Studios and Open Loot for nearly two years before preparing for its current release on Android and iOS. In April 2025, the team launched an Early Access Airdrop Campaign, followed in June by the unveiling of the Play to Airdrop Campaign ahead of the $POINT token TGE. At the start of August, the team officially published the game’s whitepaper, providing players with additional details about the game’s play to earn structure and Season 1. Now, we have an official launch date, and some more details on what to expect in this skill-based season. Let’s take a look!

What’s New in Shatterpoint Season 1?
Season 1 introduces a competitive leaderboard, Sparks farming, NFT bonuses, and game balancing changes.
With the launch of the leaderboard system, players are able to climb the ranks and compete for Spark by completing quests through action-packed gameplay. Sparks represent airdrop points designed to reward the best players with an allocation of the upcoming $POINT token. By ranking high enough on the leaderboard, you’ll be able to earn a certain amount of these points, qualifying you for a share of the token’s supply.
The leaderboard won’t be the only gateway to earning Sparks though. Sparks farming will also be possible to achieve in every PvP match won throughout the whole season, so long as you have the Charged Crystal. Anyone can craft a Crystal if they own a Crystal Forge, which is a crafting station that has to be bought as an NFT from the Open Loot marketplace. Once the Crystal is crafted, you also need to infuse it with a premium in-game currency called Dust in order to make it into a Charged Crystal, as only then can you actually use it to play and earn Sparks, and in the future, $POINT tokens.
Further bolstering your ability to earn Sparks throughout this season are NFT bonuses. This means that you can equip a cosmetic hat or any part of the Founder Hero armor to not just blast everyone in style, but also see increased Sparks earnings as well. This will also apply in the future once $POINT goes live and is added to the game. Players can craft cosmetic collectibles using a Cosmetic Printer, a crafting station that can be purchased from the Open Loot marketplace and which might be possible to acquire from the game directly as well. This means that cosmetics in this game are more than just for appearance, and they look set to also provide access to special events with rare rewards, such as exclusive boss battles, making them a useful asset to maximizing your gameplay earnings in this web3 title.
A number of game balancing changes have also been made to improve the overall experience, meaning that champions have been tweaked, abilities have been updated, and the gameplay should feel smoother and more polished in general, though specifics on all these adjustments were not provided in the announcement.

How to Play to Airdrop in Shatterpoint Season 1
Season 1 introduces PvP gameplay and a global leaderboard, enabling players to earn an allocation of $POINT tokens through a play to airdrop system that caters to both F2P gamers and players willing to invest in NFTs.
Everyone can climb the leaderboard for free by collecting leaderboard points. To earn leaderboard points, you will have to complete various in-game tasks such as crafting quests, PvP challenges, equipment objectives, monster hunting goals, and special event missions. Progress is tracked through a player dashboard, where you can find these tasks that should change weekly, though each week has a point cap to regulate fair Spark distribution. It looks like you will be able to complete the same tasks multiple times to gain more points, according to the whitepaper.
The top 1000 players on the leaderboard with the highest number of points by the end of the season will receive Sparks, the temporary in-game airdrop points. Higher ranks award more Sparks, which can later be converted into $POINT tokens once the TGE takes place. Until TGE, Sparks function in place of $POINT for all in-game activities, meaning that the earning systems used now should work the same when the $POINT token actually launches, it’s just that Sparks will then be replaced by the game’s core token.
While the leaderboard should be free for anyone to climb to potentially secure a token airdrop, those who want to win an even bigger share of tokens will want to own a Charged Crystal and possibly a cosmetic collectible or two.
Players will have to craft Crystals using Crystal Forge NFTs, and then infuse them with Quantum Dust, a premium in-game currency, in order to turn them into Charged Crystals, as only then can you earn Sparks, and in the future $POINT tokens, from winning a competitive PvP match. This does mean that you need to continuously charge Crystals to continue earning from each match won. You can choose to make a Short Charge to play 6 PvP rounds, a Medium Charge for 15 PvP matches, and a Long Charge for 30 PvP rounds. The longer the charge, the longer the infusing process at the Crystal Forge, and the higher the cost in Quantum Dust. Crystal Forges can be found listed on the Open Loot marketplace for a current floor price of $100.
To further increase your Spark earnings from winning PvP matches, you may want to equip a cosmetic or two as well, which can be crafted with a Cosmetic Printer NFT, which isn’t listed on the ecosystem’s NFT marketplace at the time of writing, but likely will in the future, though you should also end up being able to acquire it from the game itself. You can find NFT cosmetics though for as low as $1.
Whether you’ll focus on topping the leaderboards as a F2P player or further enhance your airdrop and future token earnings with Charged Crystals and NFT cosmetics, Season 1 of Shatterpoint looks to be a fun period of top-down action that rewards skill-based gameplay in varied ways for an engaging blockchain gaming experience. An exact time for the launch on September 9 was not given yet, and we don’t know on which platforms it will go live, but you should expect to see the mobile game launch as a free to play title on both Android and iOS devices across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.
