Web3 gaming ecosystem Oxya Origin has officially launched Road to Genesis in early access on the Epic Games Store, giving everyone time until December 16th (edit: now December 30th!) to play to airdrop $OXYZ tokens as part of the Hunter Program, which will start on December 8th and continue to be live all the way to December 30th.
Road to Genesis is a third-person extraction looter shooter set in the Oxya universe, a dark sci-fi world in which players embark on challenging and dynamic roguelite dungeons solo or in 4-player co-op, fighting through waves of enemies or stealthily progressing onwards to try and risk getting more loot before choosing to extract.
It’s in development by Oxya Origin and is currently available in a limited early access alpha state for Windows PCs, allowing players to jump in and provide constructive feedback while receiving unique rewards for helping the developers create a polished and high quality blockchain gaming experience.
This version introduces over 60 new rooms in 4 distinct biomes. All the resources you earn in this alpha playtest, which runs from December 4th to December 16th, will be reset though. However, to make this launch more rewarding, the team has introduced the Hunter Program that allows you to play to airdrop $OXYZ tokens before TGE takes place some time after the program is over.
Eventually, this web3 game will be available as a free to play title with a player-driven economy in which players can craft, upgrade, and trade minted assets.
To participate in this early access period, which runs from December 4th to December 30th, you need to redeem this code: ZZNF7-K63J9-KPAGD-HSZU9 (everyone can use this same code, it’s not a one-time use key)
Simply open the Epic Games Launcher, log in, click on your profile icon in the top right, and select “Redeem Code” from the dropdown menu. This will give you a field in which you can input the above access code. Once you add the code, redeem it to add the web3 shooter to your library, and download to get ready to start playing for the token airdrop throughout this December.
The Hunter Program is a multi-chapter airdrop campaign through which players can do in-game and social quests to earn points that will eventually convert into $OXYZ tokens.
Chapter 1 goes live on December 8th and ends on December 30th, during which there are 1 million $OXYZ tokens up for grabs for participants with the highest number of points on the leaderboard. The number of eligible positions was not revealed at the time of writing.
You can participate in this program as a free to play user, but if you want to get point multipliers, then you’ll want to own a Valor Crest, Genesis Avatar, or Land NFT. The Valor Crest was exclusively awarded to ecosystem partners and communities, and features a 1.1x multiplier, while the multiplier for Avatars and Landowners varies based on the number of NFTs held in the following way:
Genesis Avatars can be found on OpenSea as an Ethereum collection with a floor price of 0.0248 ETH, while Lands are also listed on the same marketplace, with the current cheapest option costing 0.067 ETH.
Apart from these bonuses for NFT holders, everyone should be able to do all of the same social quests and in-game tasks. Social tasks range from liking posts to referring friends, while some of the gameplay-focused quests include playing the flagship game in co-op, collecting a certain number of blueprints, and successfully completing and extracting from your run. There will be both daily and weekly in-game missions to complete, so you will likely want to jump in this early access alpha launch of Oxya Origin: Road to Genesis for a better chance at winning a higher share of the $OXYZ token airdrop.
$OXYZ is a deflationary ecosystem token that will be used for governance, for buying new NFT collections and battle passes, minting crafted assets, and more, according to the official whitepaper page. No TGE date is available at the time of writing.
