Season 1 of Play Solana is officially live, bringing a new wave of quests, refreshed UI, and ways for players to earn XP across the SuperHUB. The new season is open to anyone with a connected wallet, but some of the quests and game content are only available to PSG1 console owners and Play Solana NFT holders. All XP earned during the season will be converted into $PLAY tokens once the season ends.
Play Solana: A Connected System for Web3 Gaming
Play Solana is a web3 gaming platform built around a concept called the SuperHUB. It connects hardware, games, digital identity, and DeFi into one system. Rather than splitting players across separate wallets, tools, and games, the SuperHUB brings everything together through one device and platform.
At the center of it is the PSG1, a portable console that doubles as a gaming system and hardware wallet. With it, players can access the PlaySolana library, store their tokens, and complete in-game actions directly from the device. The experience ties into PlayDex, a quest hub where players earn XP through seasonal activities.
Season 1 Opens with New Content and XP Progression
With the start of Season 1, PlayDex now offers a wide range of XP quests. These include daily logins, social media tasks, and game-based objectives. You can also complete staking and NFT-related missions. All these quests contribute to your seasonal XP, which will later be converted into $PLAY tokens.
Most quests are available to anyone with a wallet connected to PlayDex. Others need specific items, like a PSG1 console or a Player1 or Player2 NFT. These unlock bonus tasks and access to more features inside the season.
One of the key game quests is tied to PlaySolana: Origins. This game can only be played using the PSG1 console. Players who own the device can dive into Origins and earn XP based on their gameplay and NFT saves. The more progress made inside the game, the more XP can be earned.
PlaySolana: Origins Is Now Active
PlaySolana: Origins is the platform's flagship title. It's a Pokémon-inspired adventure that blends story-driven gameplay with real onchain tasks like staking, swapping tokens, and collecting NFTs. Instead of walking through tutorials, players learn by playing through missions set in a world built on Solana's lore.
The game is only available on the PSG1 console and is tied to one of the season's key quests. Players can earn a one-time XP reward for this quest based on their progress in Origins. The more NFT-backed saves you have, the higher the reward. Default runs without a Player1 NFT will give you just 20 XP. One NFT-backed save gives 120 XP, while 10 saves push it to the 400 XP tier. Extra XP can also come from playing with pets like the Dragon, Penguin, or Monkey, finishing the game at least once, or raising pet levels. All of this counts toward a hard cap of 500 XP.
You can keep progressing in Origins and only claim the reward when you're satisfied with your tier. Once claimed, the XP is locked based on your current save data.
Origins sits inside the PlaySolana game library on PSG1. More games will join it during the season, along with new quests and features linked to the SuperHUB.
PSG1 Console Unlocks More of the Season
The PSG1 console is more than a way to play games. It's also the main device for accessing everything inside the SuperHUB. This includes wallet tools, staking, NFT integration, and the PlaySolana Launcher. The console shipped in early October and is now available in a second round of orders. It comes with an octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, along with a built-in hardware wallet and fingerprint scanner.
Season 1 includes several quests that are only available on the PSG1. Playing Origins is the biggest one, but console owners can also follow other games through PlayDex, such as MattleRun, Block Stranding, Meegos Mayhem, and Hege Dash. Each follow will give you 50 XP.
With the console, players can launch these games, claim rewards, and track progress without switching between platforms.
NFT Holders Get Access to Unique Quests
If you hold a Player1 or Player2 NFT, Season 1 offers extra quests tied to staking and identity progression. These NFTs act as digital characters and also unlock benefits like XP boosts, staking multipliers, and early access to some features.
Player1 is the original identity collection, launched for early supporters. It offers higher-tier perks across the platform. Player2 came later and is designed to onboard more players, while still offering in-game and staking utility. Both are supported throughout the season and tie into your PlayID, the identity layer that tracks all XP and achievements across the SuperHUB.
Holding these NFTs gives you access to more quests that reward XP and deepen your standing on the leaderboard.
A Closer Look at the PlayDex Quests
The quest system on PlayDex is split into 3 main categories: PSG1 Games, Community & Social, and General actions.
PSG1 Game Quests reward players for engaging with the ecosystem's games. Most of these are simple follow actions on X (Twitter), worth 50 XP each. The main quest, PlaySolana: Origins, gives variable XP depending on gameplay and NFTs.
Community & Social Quests are open to all players and include actions like joining the Telegram or Discord server, following Play Solana accounts, or posting your console setup on X with hashtags like #PLAY and #PlaySolana. The highest XP reward here is 250 XP for sharing a post, while other actions give between 50 and 100 XP.
General Quests include things like logging in daily, connecting an email, buying the PSG1, and staking SOL. Logging in gives 5 XP per day, and buying the console gives 1,000 XP. You can also earn XP from staking SOL with the PlaySolana validator or locking up $PLAY tokens for 3 to 12 months. The more you stake and the longer you lock, the higher the XP payout.
All quests are tracked in real-time through the PlayDex hub. Players can view their total XP, claim rewards, and see which tasks are still open.
All XP Converts to $PLAY at Season's End
Based on the litepaper, all XP will be converted into $PLAY tokens at the end of each season. The exact conversion rate hasn't been shared, and seasonal rankings or progress may affect how much each player receives.
$PLAY is the main token of the Play Solana ecosystem. It fuels everything inside the SuperHUB, from purchasing upgrades and items to joining governance votes. Using and holding $PLAY also opens access to deeper features and future platform tools.
XP is more than just a leaderboard score. It's directly tied to rewards through the system's economic layer.
SuperHUB, Progression, and What's Next
Season 1 is the first full rollout since the SuperHUB went live in October. This new system combines everything into one experience, from playing games to earning and using tokens.
With SuperHUB, players can use their PSG1 to manage wallets, join games, and track progress in real-time. The identity system makes sure that all activity stays linked to one profile. Whether you're staking tokens or completing a quest in Origins, every action builds toward your onchain record.
As the season goes on, more quests, rewards, and features will be added. This includes new games and extra staking options, as well as leaderboard changes. All players are encouraged to stay active and check PlayDex often to keep earning and progressing.
Season 1 is now live. Anyone can join, but those with a PSG1 or Play Solana NFT will have more ways to earn and rank up as XP turns into $PLAY over the coming weeks.
