Cycle 3 of the Eternals Pew Pew is officially live as the very final event of the game’s Open Beta Leaderboard, giving everyone one more chance to rank high enough for the seasonal prize pool.

What Is Eternals Pew Pew?

Eternals Pew Pew is a free to play 2D browser shooter set in the world of Eternia. Players step into the role of the Holy Cat, a guardian tasked with defending the skies against waves of airborne enemies. Each encounter lasts a short amount of time and features limited ammunition, which creates a mix of strategy, fast reactions, and resource management. Enemy spawns are randomized, so no two sessions feel alike. This keeps the experience fresh even for returning players.

Players choose from 3 difficulty modes. Easy provides an accessible introduction, while Normal and Hard introduce greater enemy counts, faster patterns, and boss encounters. Higher difficulty levels reward increased Shooting EXP, which influences leaderboard positions. Victory is achieved by defeating a required number of enemies before the timer runs out. Optional side objectives can also appear during missions. Completing them grants additional rewards and helps players climb the rankings faster.

The game is browser-based on PC and players can log in through email, Google, Apple, or Facebook accounts. Those who want to use a web3 wallet can connect compatible options such as Coin98 Wallet or Ramper Wallet. The web3 title also runs on the Viction blockchain, previously known as TomoChain, and it supports zero gas transactions.

The team behind Eternals Pew Pew has been testing and expanding the game through a series of structured phases. The Alpha Playtest introduced the core gameplay, while the Open Beta added new systems, more content, and important quality of life improvements. These include the ability to open Boxes and Chests, use crafting formulas to create new Chests, and trade items on the in-game Marketplace.

Open Beta Features

The Open Beta stage introduced several systems that did not exist during the Alpha Playtest. These include Boxes, Chests, crafting, and the Marketplace.

Players can now open Boxes and Chests earned in previous events or during current cycles. Boxes contain crafting materials and the rarity of the Box matches the rarity of the material received. Chests contain guns of matching rarity or leaderboard points. When the leaderboard is not active, Chests provide gold instead.

The crafting system allows players to convert materials and predefined formulas into new Chests. Crafting exists as a supplemental progression path and adds more long-term value to mission rewards.

The Marketplace gives players a way to buy and sell in-game items using Space Stones, which are the game’s premium currency. Items listed on the Marketplace include guns, Chests, Boxes, and crafting materials. Only items of epic rarity or higher can be traded. This prevents overcrowding and maintains value for higher tier equipment. With the Marketplace live, players now have more control over inventory management and can acquire missing items more efficiently.

The Open Beta operates on a cycle system. Each cycle runs for a fixed duration and has its own weekly leaderboard. A seasonal leaderboard tracks performance across all cycles. Rewards for both weekly and seasonal leaderboards are distributed in ETER, the game’s token, through Coin98 Vault.

What Is New in Eternals Pew Pew Open Beta Cycle 3?

Open Beta Cycle 3 marks the final chapter of the seasonal leaderboard campaign. It is the last chance for players to reach the Top 50 and qualify for rewards from the seasonal prize pool from November 18, 6 AM UTC to December 1, 2 PM UTC.

For this event, the team has released updated information on how leaderboard rewards will be distributed. A new addition is also the bonus fund added by Holy Cat. The team contributed an extra $200 worth of ETER to the seasonal prize pool, with a “Rate Snapshot Day” for the upcoming token planned to take place on December 8.

How to Play and Earn in Eternals Pew Pew Open Beta Cycle 3

Players who want to participate in the final Open Beta cycle can begin by visiting the game’s official website and signing into the browser-based game. After logging in, players choose their difficulty level and start missions that consume Energy, which regenerates over time but can also be purchased using Space Stones.

During missions, players aim to destroy the required number of enemies and avoid incoming attacks. Successful missions reward gold, Shooting EXP, and Boxes. Shooting EXP boosts leaderboard rankings. Boxes contain materials that can be used to craft Chests through the crafting system.

Crafting is an important way to progress during Cycle 3 because it allows players to build Chests that generate weapons or leaderboard points. Crafting can also contribute to the crafting leaderboard. Together with the Shooting EXP leaderboard, this creates a dual track system for competitive progression.

Chests can reward guns that improve combat performance in future missions. The introduction of boss encounters in higher difficulties means that weapon strength can influence mission efficiency and final scores. This creates a loop in which stronger weapons increase EXP gain, which in turn increases leaderboard placement.

The Marketplace is also active during Cycle 3. Players can list unwanted guns, Chests, Boxes, or materials in exchange for Space Stones. They can also browse the Marketplace for items that support faster leaderboard advancement. Strategic trading can help fill inventory gaps before the cycle ends.

Rewards for Cycle 3 will be determined by leaderboard positions across 3 different categories: the Seasonal Leaderboard, and 2 weekly rankings that include Shooting and Crafting leaderboards. Seasonal Leaderboard rewards provide the largest prize pool for gameplay. The team has structured rewards so that Rank 1 receives 20% of the pool. Rank 2 gets 16%, and Rank 3 receives 12%. The shares gradually decrease across all ranking tiers until Rank 50. Group rewards and individual rewards apply to each range. While the main seasonal leaderboard is used to reward players with a token airdrop, the Shooting and Crafting leaderboards also give away chests of varying of rarity, allowing you to play and earn NFTs as well.
