The Pixels x Forgotten Runiverse crossover event is kicking off today, May 5th, at 3:00 p.m. ET. It's a big day for the Ronin blockchain scene, and the headline says it all — a massive 5,000,000 $PIXEL prize pool is up for grabs.

This is the first time Pixels' $PIXEL token is being used inside another game's economy. And it's not just a small feature. Players can now swap their Forgotten Runiverse currency, Quanta, for $PIXEL. There are two claim periods, each lasting two weeks. The more Quanta you bid during these windows, the bigger slice of the prize you can grab.

How to Join the Pixels x Forgotten Runiverse Event

It's easy to join. Just hit the event button in the game — the same spot where you usually go for daily boosts. Choose how much Quanta you want to bid, and you're in.

Once you have your $PIXEL, you can use it inside Forgotten Runiverse. Spend it to buy Mana and Boosts, and you'll even get a 20% discount at the store during the event. It's a strong deal if you're serious about gearing up fast.

Exclusive Rewards Up for Grabs

The event also brings special rewards. The Font of Memory has been updated with Pixels-themed items, and they are mintable — meaning you can keep them forever.

  • Pixels Robe Cosmetic (Pixels, Great Pixels, Grand Pixels tiers)

These items are only available during this event. After that, they're gone for good.

Big Gameplay Updates

It's not just about the token swap. Forgotten Runiverse has also rolled out a ton of new features. 

First up, players can now share Quanta earnings. Landowners can set splits between co-owners, builders, and even visitors. It's a brand-new way to reward friends and guildmates for working together.

Building Infusions are here as well. Infusing your buildings boosts them — for example, Temples create more Mana, Gathering Stations pull in extra resources, and Forges improve crafting results. City Stones, when infused, have reduced gold travel cost and they get new icons on the map with more infusions. 

Another major feature is Delves — open-world points of interest packed with action, rewards, and challenges. No loading screens needed. You just walk in and start your adventure.

Daily quests and the main quest line have also been upgraded to give more Quanta rewards, encouraging players to stay active.

For those with weaker internet, the game now runs smoother with the new Memory Optimized Client, making it better on mobile devices. 

$PIXEL Staking and Creator Program

Alongside the event, Pixels has launched $PIXEL staking — and Forgotten Runiverse is one of the first games where it's live. This adds another way for players to earn from their $PIXEL holdings.

Plus, the brand-new V1 Creator Program is now active. Streamers and content creators can share special referral links. Once your fans spend $5,000 in-game through your link, you get a $500 USDC payout. Extra rewards like early access, special channels, and branding kits will come later.

Preparing for the Event

Before today's launch, players had a chance to get ahead. From April 24th to May 1st, the Dungeon Run event let players earn entries for land NFT giveaways and up to 250 million Quanta. This extra Quanta can now be used to grab a bigger share of the $PIXEL prize pool.

Pixels and Forgotten Runiverse first teased their partnership in early April 2025. The idea was simple: bring the farming sim economy of Pixels into the fantasy world of Forgotten Runiverse. But it's also a bigger move toward making blockchain games work together.
