Pixel Heroes has launched its second season of Play2Mint, introducing a large-scale update called LandZ Arena. The update brings new gameplay mechanics, a deeper connection to blockchain rewards, and a redesigned guild system that merges MMORPG mechanics with decentralized economics.
The LandZ Arena preview reveals how Pixel Heroes is moving beyond traditional playtoearn systems. Now, players interact with a range of in-game and on-chain features to earn PlayPoints, NFTs, and ERC-20 guild tokens. All of these tie directly into the broader Pixel Heroes ecosystem.
At the core of the update is the LandZ Arena battlefield. It introduces eight distinct gameplay features, from Conquest Battles and Elite Monsters to life-skill zones like mining, fishing, and gathering.
Timed events allow players and guilds to compete for Conquest Points, which are then used to earn Statue Cores, a key item for acquiring NFT rewards. Field Bosses and Mini Dungeons provide additional layers of competition, while random encounters and daily quests add replay value.
Players collect PlayPoints throughout the arena by completing tasks, defeating monsters, and opening treasure boxes. These points form the base currency for reward calculations.
Pixel Heroes ties its game economy to NFT-based assets, including HeroZ, LandZ, and the newly introduced Boss Statues.
Rewards in Play2Mint Season 2 are based on Base PlayPoints and Total PlayPoints, which are multiplied through owned assets. These multipliers depend on:
Players who own and upgrade these NFTs earn higher multipliers, increasing their final reward share. Rankings apply individually and at the guild level, with systems in place for buffs and bonuses tied to daily performance.
A major highlight of the season is the Boss Statue system. These ERC-1155 NFTs serve both as rewards and functional gameplay pieces.
Moreover, Statue Cores earned during the event can be exchanged for random Boss Statues. These statues are tradable and can be deployed to LandZ plots for mining advantages. The rarer the statue, the higher the potential output.
Twelve different Boss Statues are available in four rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical. Players can also upgrade their statues by combining duplicates and spending $ADVTR tokens, the game’s native currency.
Statue deployment directly influences LandZ mining power, affecting a player's share in $ADVTR mining pools.
The update also introduces a guild token creation system. Guild leaders can mint ERC-20 tokens backed by $MGT, Pixel Heroes’ utility token. Players who hold these tokens earn a larger share of Statue Core rewards.
Guild activity influences token value, reward access, and future participation in special content. This system links in-game cooperation with blockchain incentives.
Beyond gameplay, the DApp layer allows players to:
Mystery Boxes, keys, and mission stages round out the full DApp integration, keeping players active both inside and outside the game.
With LandZ Arena, Pixel Heroes shifts focus from short-term playtoearn mechanics to a long-term Web3 gaming structure. Assets gained in-game now offer extended use, trade options, and reward potential beyond the current event.
Boss Statues and guild tokens create a new layer of ownership and strategy, while PlayPoints remain at the center of how value is measured and distributed.
More details on the full event schedule, reward tiers, and upcoming systems are expected to follow in future developer updates.
