Parallel TCG, the sci-fi-themed trading card game that has gained popularity among digital card collectors and competitive players, officially launched its mobile version yesterday in the Philippines. The mobile rollout marks the beginning of a wider global expansion, with the game set to become available in other countries shortly.
Announced via the official Parallel TCG account, the release brings the full strategic gameplay of Parallel to mobile devices, allowing players to choose a faction, build their decks, and battle opponents on the go. The game is now live on the Google Play Store, while the App Store version is expected to follow soon.
Parallel TCG is known for its futuristic setting and lore-driven gameplay, where players align with one of five unique factions and engage in turn-based card battles. Each faction represents a distinct vision of humanity’s future, and deck-building involves managing energy, timing abilities, and reacting to an evolving battlefield.
The mobile version retains all core gameplay features and competitive mechanics seen in the desktop version. According to the team, the mobile client has been optimized to ensure smooth performance and intuitive controls on smaller screens, with plans to introduce mobile-exclusive events and future cross-platform support.
Pre-registration for the mobile release opened earlier this month, and thousands of players have already signed up to be among the first to access the game on mobile. The mobile expansion is part of Parallel’s larger strategy to broaden accessibility, grow its player base, and enable more flexible play sessions beyond desktop gaming.
The developers also teased that this release will serve as a foundation for future mobile-focused content updates, competitive ladders, and live events that cater to a global audience. Players in the Philippines now have first access to the mobile client and are encouraged to provide feedback as the game prepares for its worldwide launch.
More information, including global release timelines and iOS availability, is expected to be announced by Parallel TCG in the coming days.
How the Game Works
In Parallel TCG, players begin by selecting a faction, each representing a "Parallel" — an alternate path that humanity has taken following a cataclysmic event on Earth. The five factions are Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian, Shroud, and Augencore. Each comes with its own thematic identity, playstyle, and card pool.
Players construct a 40-card deck composed of units, effects, and relics. One of the most distinctive mechanics in Parallel is the use of “energy cards,” which determine what actions can be played each turn. The gameplay is turn-based, with each player taking turns deploying cards, attacking, and trying to outmaneuver the opponent.
Victory is achieved by reducing the opposing player’s health to zero. To win, players must not only master their deck’s synergies but also anticipate their opponent’s tactics. Cards feature unique abilities such as summoning allies, blocking damage, or disrupting enemy strategies. As a digital-only card game, Parallel features animations, faction-specific aesthetics, and regular balancing updates.
Web3 Integration
What sets Parallel apart from traditional digital card games is its web3 integration. While the mobile version remains free to play, Parallel incorporates blockchain-based asset ownership, allowing players to buy, sell, and trade NFT versions of their cards. This gives players the option to own their collection and participate in a wider card economy, though NFT ownership is not mandatory to play.
Each card in the game exists in both digital and collectible form. Players can participate in a seasonal ranked ladder, community tournaments, and in-game events regardless of whether they hold tokenized cards or not. The team has emphasized that the mobile version supports all players — free and premium alike — and will introduce cosmetic items and leaderboard rewards for broader engagement.
