Following the end of Season 1: Crystal Fragments earlier this month, the team at OverKnights has now announced their second edition of their P2A campaigns, Quantum Harvest, which will likely start off soon to kick off Season 2 on November 3 and give the web3 gaming community more opportunities to play to earn the upcoming $OVC token ahead of TGE.
What Is OverKnights?
OverKnights is a free to play card battler where players assemble humanoid mechs from interchangeable parts and compete in turn-based PvP duels. Each match blends tactical deckbuilding with cinematic combat, as cards translate into dynamic attacks, defenses, and counterplays. The objective is to dismantle the opponent’s mech while protecting your own. Winning battles rewards players with new parts, cards, and resources to strengthen both their OverKnight and deck.
Developed with support from Immutable and Sequence, OverKnights is available in open alpha as a free download on the Epic Games Store for Windows PCs. The game can be played entirely for free, but connecting an Immutable Passport wallet unlocks access to blockchain-based features, including rewards from play to airdrop campaigns and other on-chain events, such as this upcoming new one.
What Is the Quantum Harvest Event?
The Quantum Harvest Event marks the 2nd major iteration of Play to Airdrop campaigns in OverKnights. It offers players multiple ways to earn rewards through in-game competition and community participation, meaning that players can compete to earn by completing daily and weekly quests, climbing leaderboards, and referring friends to gain points that translate into in-game NFTs and token rewards.
As before, rewards in this event too center around Quantum Caches, which can be earned through quest completion. These caches contain Fragment Shards and Rare Fragment Crystals, both of which are ERC-1155 NFTs that can later be exchanged for $OVC tokens following the TGE.

Owning certain NFTs, such as Pilot Badges or Genesis Pilot NFTs, increases a player’s earning potential. Pilot Badges are limited time VIP passes that have to be reacquired each season and can be purchased with $IMX to improve the quality of Quantum Cache drops. Genesis Pilot NFTs provide additional multipliers when opening Quantum Caches, with bonuses ranging from double rewards for common NFTs to tenfold increases for legendary ones.
For this campaign, there is also a new rental system, allowing players to lend Badges to others. Owners can set reward splits between themselves and renters, while renters receive upgraded cache rewards but do not qualify for $IMX leaderboard payouts unless they hold their own Badge.
In addition to the reward system, players with Genesis Pilot NFTs can take on Bonus Quests that grant extra Quantum Caches by reaching milestones such as dealing 500 or 1000 damage or powering up shields to specific thresholds. These quests refresh daily and can be completed over multiple sessions.
To encourage regular participation, the event also includes a Daily ELO Leaderboard, meaning that each day, the top 5 ranked players receive Fragment Shards or Rare Fragment Crystals, which are distributed automatically. The top-ranked player earns 10 Rare Fragment Crystals, while 2nd best gets 5 of the same, and the rest receive varying quantities of regular Fragment Shards.
The event also features an IMX Reward Pool that begins at $5000 worth of $IMX tokens. This pool grows as more Pilot Badges are purchased. At the end of the event, the rewards are distributed among players based on their total number of collected Fragment Shards and Rare Fragment Crystals. Since these items are NFTs, they can also be freely traded or sold between players.
How to Play to Airdrop in OverKnights' Quantum Harvest Event
To participate in the Quantum Harvest Play to Airdrop campaign, you will want to log in through the official OverKnights app portal by connecting your Immutable Passport, as well as download the game for free from the Epic Games Store page. Once connected, you can get your own referral code, mint the Pilot Badge NFT, as well as trade assets on the game’s dedicated marketplace.
The referral system offers rewards for bringing in new players under a set gameplay-based condition. Each referral, who is confirmed verified after the referred player achieves 3 wins, grants you with 1 leaderboard point. The top 10 players on the referral leaderboard receive a share of 2.5% of the IMX Leaderboard Pool.
The questing system is divided into daily and weekly objectives that can only be completed in random PvP matches. Daily Quests require 3 wins in the Anima Duels mode and reward 1 Quantum Cache, while Weekly Quests require 20 wins and reward 7 Quantum Caches.

Each Quantum Cache offers a random drop of either Fragment Shards or Rare Fragment Crystals. The drop rate and item quantity depend on whether you hold a Pilot Badge. For players without one, Quantum Caches mostly yield smaller numbers of Fragment Shards. Pilot Badge owners have a chance to earn larger quantities and higher-value Rare Fragment Crystals.
Quantum Caches for non-badge holders provide between 1 and 10 Fragment Shards with varying probabilities. For badge owners, the caches can contain up to 10 Rare Fragment Crystals or 20 Fragment Shards, offering significantly greater earning potential.
To maximize rewards, players can try combining all available features. By holding a Pilot Badge, completing quests daily through gameplay, referring friends, and maintaining a strong ELO ranking, participants can increase their share of both $OVC and $IMX rewards. Genesis Pilot NFT owners have additional advantages, as their rarity multipliers apply to Quantum Cache openings, and their bonus quests offer extra caches on top of standard rewards.
The Quantum Harvest Event is however also subject to supply limits. The campaign will distribute up to 1 million Fragments in total, divided into 800k Fragment Shards and 200k Rare Fragment Crystals, alongside 1 million $OVC tokens available at TGE.
Whether you missed out on the first season or are a returning player, everyone looks to have a decent opportunity to play to earn through skill-based gameplay in this free to play title, so if you enjoy strategic card battlers, then OverKnights may well be worth jumping into right away to warm up and get ready to properly participate in this new airdrop event.
