OpenSea (OS), the world's largest NFT platform, has announced the integration of BNB Chain. This effectively combines the largest blockchain by active users and wallets with the largest NFT marketplace by volume.
According to OpenSea, it has already onboarded some of the top NFT projects and collections from the new chain, such as PixelSweeper, Gooodfellas, MOBOX, Thetan Arena, and more.
Fans and collectors will be able to trade these collectibles on OS before the year ends. According to BSC News, BNB Chain NFTs will also launch on OpenSea's Seaport Protocol in Q4 2022.
"Our goal is to give the best in class experience to NFT creators and users, and this is a significant step in that direction as BNB Chain NFTs will now be available for listing and sale on OpenSea, the world's largest NFT marketplace by volume," said Gwendolyn Regina, Investment Director at BNB Chain. "The integration will bring a large number of creators into the wider system, as well as empower the creators and NFT initiatives inside the BNB Chain ecosystem."
The integration will surely attract more users from the BNB community to build and thrive on OpenSea. For now, every BNB Chain NFT collection with transactions after January 1st has been listed on the marketplace.
"We're delighted to begin leveraging Seaport across multiple blockchains, including BNB Chain, to better the OpenSea experience for everyone," said Jeremy Fine, Head of Business and Corporate Development at OpenSea. "This update will make it simpler to reach even more users and creators on the chains they prefer."
The BNB ecosystem already supports over 1,300 Dapps across multiple categories, such as DeFi, metaverse, blockchain gaming, and NFTs. In September, OpenSea announced that it would expand support for additional blockchains and languages to maintain its position as the world's largest NFT platform. Currently, it supports NFTs from Ethereum, Polygon, Klaytn, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Optimism.
