After unveiling the game’s economic model last month, the team behind Alaska Gold Rush has officially announced that their in-depth open-world mining game is set to release this month on Thursday, April 20th.

Once the blockchain title publicly launches, players will be able to jump into a detailed 3D metaverse where the goal is to mine the game’s off-chain token, $GOLD, using NFT tools by either owning your own NFT land or by having a landowner hire you to do it on their turf, all the while surviving the dangers of nature that include wildlife animals, bandits and freezing temperatures. With $GOLD, players are able to purchase, craft and repair equipment, while the game’s core on-chain token, $CARAT, will be used for entering special events, buying NFTs, speed-up timers and more. Speaking of the latter, the TGE for it will take place on April 19th, a day before the game’s official launch, allowing everyone who took part in the TENSET sale to claim their tokens on the game’s official website, with the team also clarifying in the announcement of the $CARAT launch that “other launchpads will distribute the tokens themselves.”

In the meantime, those who own an Alaska Gold Rush NFT can enjoy the alpha demo version of the Web3 title before it officially opens as a free-to-play game.

According to the roadmap on the official whitepaper, the developers plan to add VR support in the first quarter of next year.
