Gunzilla Games has launched a major update for Off The Grid (OTG), its cyberpunk battle royale title, bringing several gameplay changes, new cosmetic content, and fresh rewards.
30% Time-to-Kill (TTK) Reduction Changes Gameplay
The biggest change in this patch is a 30% reduction in TTK across all weapons. Combat in OTG is now faster and deadlier. Fights end quicker, and survivability, especially at mid-to-long ranges, has shifted.
To balance the lower TTK, the developers also increased weapon spread. Players who hold the fire button will now see shots becoming less accurate over time. Spread is higher while airborne or moving. Sniper rifles received some spread reductions when using third-person sights while running or jumping.
Gunzilla confirmed that recoil adjustments are coming in future patches. Current feedback from players suggests that while close-range fights feel sharper, mid-range battles might be too forgiving. The developers promised to fine-tune weapon handling over the next few weeks based on community feedback.
Ranked Mode and Aim Assist Improvements
A Ranked Mode system is also being tested quietly in the background. Gunzilla calls it "under the hood" testing for better matchmaking between new and veteran players. This system is similar to skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) seen in other games.
Other than that, aim assist has been improved. A bug that caused first-person scopes to break after melee attacks was also fixed, offering a smoother aiming experience.

Legendary Weapons Now Available — But Only In-Match
OTG players can now find Legendary Weapons during matches. These weapons are stronger versions of standard guns and come with pre-installed attachments and higher damage values.
Here are some of the Legendary Weapons added: Vulture, Partisan, Squall, Influencer, Kite, Hawk, Piercer, Kelowna, and Kochi.
Only one copy of each Legendary Weapon appears per match, and they can be obtained from loot boxes and drone missions. However, players cannot keep these weapons after a match. Once the round ends, Legendary gear is lost.
This caused some disappointment, as many players expected permanent Legendary items following CEO Vlad Korolev's post on X, where he said "Legendary items" would be arriving.

No Legendary Hexes Yet
Earlier, Korolev teased that "Legendary items" would be coming soon. Many players took this to mean that Legendary Hexes — rare loot boxes containing permanent rewards like weapons, cybernetic upgrades, and skins — would finally arrive. However, this patch doesn't include them.
Instead, only match-limited Legendary Weapons were added. Gunzilla did not mention Legendary Hexes in the latest patch notes, and no new details about their release have been shared yet.

New Battle Pass: Hopper Pilot & CleanUp Crew
The latest Battle Pass brings two new themes with fresh cosmetic rewards:
- CleanUp Crew: Features gritty character skins, the "No Pulse" emote, and the Hawk CleanUp Crew LMG. This section plays into the idea of players cleaning up after battles — with blood, gear, and grief left behind.
- Hopper Pilot: Offers futuristic delivery pilot gear, the "Emergency Ejection" emote, and the AZV Pilot weapon. It highlights the chaotic role of being a "meat drop" pilot on Teardrop Island.
Both sections are packed with cosmetic rewards and loyalty bonuses, offering a strong incentive for players to grind through the tiers.

Crash Test Ted Content Pack Causes Mixed Reactions
A new OTG Pro Content Pack has been released featuring the character skin Crash Test Ted. Ted comes bundled with the "Impact Replay" emote and the Type 227 Flatliner weapon.

But the community reaction has been mixed. Many players noted that Crash Test Ted looks almost identical to the earlier Discord-exclusive Impact Junkie skin, released in January. Some believe the design was reused with minor changes, leading to criticism that this is recycled content rather than a new addition.
What is Off The Grid?
