Here's a list of Nyan Heroes' development updates and insane art display

Nyan Heroes, a free-to-play shooter on Solana, recently dropped a slew of exciting updates, including an impressive GDC art showcase.

According to the team, they have made significant strides in terms of the game's design, audio, engineering, artwork, and production. The most notable upgrade is that players will be able to travel around Nekovia using the Signature Cat Locomotion system. This particular feature was demonstrated live at GDC 2023, allowing players to pounce, vault, and wall-running, using their mechs as in-game avatars.

As shown in the video below, the team has built a simple yet effective proving ground that offers a set of challenges for players to learn and practice their moves. The obstacle course will be expanded in the future to include advanced combat moves that help players hone their skills in a safe environment.

On top of that, the team has introduced major upgrades to the in-game audio, especially the mechanical firing sounds of demo weapons, sniper rifles, bomb launchers, and energy weapons. The team also intends to create feline-like locomotion sounds, such as those for wall running and climbing, with a sound design approach that emphasizes speed, agility, and power while staying subtle.

Another important highlight is that Nyan Heroes has migrated to Unreal Engine 5.1.1. This allows the team to take advantage of the latest features and performance upgrades of Unreal Engine, resulting in more immersive and engaging gameplay. Also, the Blockchain Engineering team has released an in-house crypto wallet fully integrated with Unreal. It is a native Solana blockchain wallet that works natively on the PC and Unreal Engine. Players will have full control of their wallets without worrying about the complexities of managing them. For more details, check out the official post here
