Nyan Heroes, the free to play web3 hero shooter, has just unveiled Airdrop 4, its biggest token giveaway to date! From March 26th to April 13th, players will have the chance to battle their way to a share of 6.7 million $NYAN tokens—roughly worth $192,000. Whether you're a casual player, a competitive warrior, or an NFT collector, there's a reward pool waiting for you.

What Is Nyan Heroes?

If you haven't heard of Nyan Heroes, it's a free to play team-based hero shooter where cats pilot giant mechs. Think of it as a mix between Overwatch and Titanfall, but with adorable (and deadly) felines at the helm. Each pilot has unique abilities, and their mechs are fully customizable, offering deep strategy and fast-paced gameplay.

The game is still in pre-alpha, meaning it's in an early testing phase. But this is the perfect time to get involved, as playing now can earn you real crypto rewards through airdrop events.

How to Win in Nyan Heroes Airdrop 4

Unlike past airdrops, Airdrop 4 brings you a tiered reward system designed by Asimakis Reppas, the former Director of Economy at EVE Online. This system ensures that both casual and competitive players have a shot at earning tokens.

Challenger Tier (55% of rewards - 3.7M $NYAN)

  • Designed for consistent players who complete daily and weekly missions.
  • Requires a minimum of 50 matches played.
  • Only available for the top 5,000 players in the ranking.
  • Ideal for those who enjoy playing regularly but might not be leaderboard grinders.

Leaderboard Tier (30% of rewards - 2M $NYAN)

  • Designed for the best of the best—the top 3,000 players.
  • Requires a minimum of 25 wins during the event period.
  • The #1 player takes home a whopping 250,000 $NYAN (~$7,190 at the time of writing).
  • This is for the competitive warriors who thrive on ranking up and dominating.

Genesis NFT Tier (15% of rewards - 1M $NYAN)

  • Exclusive to Genesis Nyan and Guardian NFT holders.
  • Requires 20,000 in-game MEOW points (earned through gameplay).
  • Includes special multipliers for those who own matching Guardian NFTs.
  • The rarer your NFT, the bigger your reward multiplier (e.g., Legendary tier has a 4.5x boost!).

New Additions in Playtest 4

Playtest 4 will launch alongside Airdrop 4, bringing major updates to the game. One of the biggest additions is a new hero, Coco, a scrappy feline inventor who built his own mech, Gizmo, using spare parts. Gizmo comes with unique abilities, including deploying turrets for defense, creating a magnetic platform that elevates allies, and activating his Scrap Goliath ultimate, which transforms him into a massive version of himself, dealing AOE damage and boosting teammates' armor. 

Next to that, Playtest 4 also includes a new game mode called Fishball. This fast-paced mode requires teams to score points by throwing a ball into enemy goals over two rounds. Note that ball carriers can still shoot but are unable to use their ultimate. 

Players will also battle on a new map, Tokyo, a futuristic digital recreation of the city. This map focuses on vertical movement and tight-space combat, adding another layer of strategy. Beyond these additions, HUD improvements, hero balance adjustments, and general gameplay upgrades have been included.

How Does This Compare to Airdrop 3?

Airdrop 3 took place in September 2024 and was one of the first large-scale airdrop events in Nyan Heroes. It featured a 5 million $NYAN token reward pool, with rewards tied to daily, weekly, and unique in-game missions.

But Airdrop 4 is much bigger and more structured. The reward pool has increased to 6.7 million $NYAN, with even greater earning potential. A new ranking system has also been introduced to ensure that players of all skill levels get a fair shot at rewards.

Is Airdrop 4 Free to Play?

Yes! Nyan Heroes' airdrop event is free to play. While NFT holders can boost their earnings through multipliers, no purchase is required to take part in Playtest 4 or Airdrop 4.
