Community-driven racing metaverse Nitro League is getting its first tournament of the year on Monday, January 22nd.
From January 22nd to the 29th, players will be able to compete against each other across varied race tracks for NFT and token rewards. This tournament will feature various new and old partners, including Myria, Aavegotchi, Danketsu and more, all of which will act as teams for the tournament that you can join for a chance of winning the team’s branded NFT car.
To play, simply install the game and create an account, after which you can pick the team you’d like to side with on your profile. You can then head to the race section in your garage and click on the Special Events game mode, where you will pick your car and start a race, waiting for there to be 2-4 players before the racing can begin.
It’s important to note that while you can choose to join any team, if you want to be eligible for potentially claiming any rewards, then you will have to own an NFT from the team’s collection to successfully qualify. Players will be able to claim rewards by creating a ticket on the official Discord server with the requested info that includes your in-game username, wallet address containing your team’s NFT, as well as a profile screenshot showing your username. You can also add in another address on the Polygon network if you would like your NFT reward to be transferred to a different wallet instead of the one holding the team’s NFT.
If you end up in the top 3 by the end of this tournament, you will be awarded with a PFP-branded car, while players in the top 10 are given their team’s branded NFT car on the Polygon network.
Next to NFT rewards, you might also have a chance of earning some $ADA, but to be eligible for the 4000 $ADA prize pool, you need to own a Nitro League Vehicle from the Virtua Cardano Island Vehicle collection minted on Cardano. If you do, then you could earn some tokens if you end up in the top 20, with 1st place getting 1000 tokens.
