Planetarium Labs is back with a host of goodies for the Nine Chronicles M community, introducing new rune updates, including system improvements and new runes, while kicking off 2 events for players to enjoy in the on-chain, open-source RPG.
When it comes to runes, the developers have introduced 2 new sacred-grade runes: the Freya Liberation Rune and the Freya Blessing Rune. These represent the higest-tier runes, with the Freya Blessing Rune being a stat rune offering strong HP/SPD stats, while the Freya Liberation Rune is a skill rune bringing evasion debuffs and a 55% chance of eliminating debuff effects when the buff is active.
The rune system has been enhanced with the introduction of multi-level rune upgrades and a Rune Level Bonus. Players can now easily upgrade runes up to 30 levels at once instead of having to do it one at a time. The upgrade probability is now also at 100%, which also means that the upgrade prices are now different than before.
The new Rune Level Bonus feature introduces proportional bonuses to runes when upgrading them, making them stronger than before. These bonus stats seem to be in effect even if you don’t equip the runes.
The Just Grrrind It event is back for this month, allowing players to earn special materials to craft special crystal equipment. Players can find 4 types of materials dropping on certain stages at varying rates, with higher-level stages rewarding more materials. These special materials only drop on stages 150/200/250/300, and allow you to craft Special Crystal belts, necklaces, and rings with Special Crystals. All of these are items aren’t usable in combat but are instead useful for gaining lots of crystals by disassembling them.
In celebration of the rune updates, the studio has increased rewards for Fenrir and Saehrimnir of the Abyss by 50%, making it possible for players to get more runes by participating in this event until May 31st, 23:59 UTC.
