The decentralized role playing game Nine Chronicles is not only launching its mainnet today, but they are also happy to reveal their presence at the Play to Earn Game Festival. The community governs the game world of Nine Chronicles, making the game completely decentralized. Visitors of the festival will be able to learn more about Nine Chronicles starting from November 2nd.
Planetarium uses its in-house developed PlanetLib blockchain to create a private network for a specific game. Every gamer playing the game, has the option to contribute mining power to the Nine Chronicles blockchain. Obviously they will earn in-game currencies called Nine Chronicles Gold, or NCG.
From a technical perspective Nine Chronicles is completely open-source and decentralized. Basically anybody can fork the game and create their own new world. This emphasizes that the community governs the entire game world and its economy.
"Play-to-earn has a strong presence inside Nine Chronicles, and therefore I'm happy that Nine Chronicles is celebrating the launch of their mainnet with us", said Play to Earn owner Robert Hoogendoorn.
"We’re very excited to be a part of the first Play to Earn Game Festival, among other amazing games that are pushing the boundaries of gameplay and ownership. Nine Chronicles, which recently launched its mainnet, is a fully decentralized RPG operated by the community - be sure to check it out!", said Kijun Seo, CEO at Planetarium.
Planetarium and Nine Chronicles also went the extra mile and signed up to become the first 'Happy Supporter' of the Play to Earn Game Festival. The made a financial contribution that will cover the costs of minting collectibles and launching new services involving the PLAY token and future Play to Earn festivals.
