Night Crows is adding a new token, RAVN, through a major patch arriving July 29. This token launch marks the start of the game's new 4-month seasonal system. Players can use RAVN to get powerful seasonal gear and trade it for WEMIX, giving added value to in-game time and effort. This new model is designed to deepen both progression and token use across the next two years.

New RAVN Token Launches with Season Gear

Starting tomorrow, players will be able to mint and earn the new RAVN token. The game will run on a seasonal system, with each season lasting 14 weeks followed by a 2-week break. In every new season, players can unlock special gear that is only available for a limited time. This gear will come from new gear chests bought using RAVN tokens. Once the season ends, those items and chests will no longer be up for grabs.

Each new piece of seasonal gear comes with its own gear slot, letting players grow their characters with stronger stats. The gear can also be enhanced and refined for more power, making it a key part of character development.

How to Get RAVN and RAVIUM

The core way to earn RAVN is by playing the game and collecting an in-game item called RAVIUM. Players can mint RAVN from RAVIUM through the Token menu once their character reaches level 45.

RAVIUM can also be traded back into RAVN, so it's quite flexible. RAVIUM itself can be used to craft or buy gear, adding more value to the item and making gameplay more rewarding.

Stake CROW to Earn RAVN

Players can also earn RAVN by staking CROW, Night Crows' original token. Staking is done on the game's official site. The more CROW you stake, the more RAVN you earn. This staking continues even between seasons and supports long-term growth across all six planned seasons.

Staking can be started or stopped at any time, with no lock-in rules. This open design encourages more players to try the system without high risk.

Trade RAVN on PNIX DEX's New Season Market

A new "Night Crows Season Market" will be added to PNIX DEX. Here, players can trade RAVN for WEMIX, giving RAVN a direct link to the wider web3 market. This is a key difference from other utility tokens, which only trade for CROW.

By placing RAVN into its own market, Night Crows gives players another way to profit from seasonal play and token farming.

Existing Token System: CROW and Utility Tokens

Night Crows already runs on a multi-token system with nine different utility tokens. These include CROW, PAPYRUS, MORION, PROMOTE, GEAR, TEAR, FEATHER, ALLOY, and ESSENCE.

CROW is the main token. It is minted from vDIA, an in-game resource gained through trading and quests. CROW is used to swap for other tokens, buy NFTs, and stake for new tokens like RAVN.

Each utility token connects to a material item. For example, Ancient Papyrus is used to mint PAPYRUS, and Essence of Curses is used to mint ESSENCE. The minting process includes a fee paid in vDIA, with each token having its own rate and minting cap.

To keep the economy stable, each token has a max supply. Once this cap is hit, minting stops until some of that token is burned. For CROW, if the price drops below $0.75, minting is paused by a system called the Peg Stability Module.

All tokens can be minted in-game, traded on WEMIX PLAY or PNIX DEX, and burned by turning them back into in-game items. This creates a full cycle between the game and blockchain.

Token Minting Explained

To mint tokens, players need the right item, a level 45 character, and vDIA for fees. Fees are based on the last 24-hour average token price. For instance, if FEATHER trades at 13 CROW, the minting fee would be 0.65 CROW worth of vDIA.

Once minted, tokens can be traded or used. If players want the item again, they can burn the token and get the item back at a fixed rate.

Night Crows

What Is Night Crows?

Night Crows launched in South Korea in April 2023. It became one of the top-selling games on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and features a medieval world with magic, gear crafting, and massive PvP.

Combat includes glider-based vertical movement and inter-server battles. The game supports both active play and AFK features, allowing many different playstyles.

Token Integration and Game Access

Once players reach level 45, they can access the game's token system. Tokens are minted using items gained through gameplay and a fee paid in vDIA. These tokens can then be traded, staked, or burned back into items. Most utility tokens have no pre-issued supply and are created entirely from player-earned resources. The only exception is CROW, which had a one-time pre-service supply of 5 million tokens issued for early liquidity and promotions.

Players use WEMIX PLAY and PNIX DEX to handle all token trades. The in-game Token menu lets them mint, swap, or convert tokens without leaving the game.

July Events and Campaigns

This new update follows a busy month in Night Crows. The ICE CROWS summer campaign, which began July 7, added themed dungeons, weapon skins, and community events. These continue into early August.

On July 22, a new Season Pass launched with 8-week alchemy themes, legendary gear, and more check-in rewards. A 50% discount on Weapon Style changes also went live, along with new weekly quests and guild events.

Looking Ahead: Season One Coming Soon

With the launch of RAVN on July 29, Night Crows will begin its first of six planned seasons. Each will bring new gear, items, and new token uses. Players can earn RAVN through play, staking, and trading, linking every hour of game time to real-world value.

Night Crows' design continues to grow the link between gaming and blockchain. This new update seeks to add another tool for long-term progression and builds new value into every part of its gameplay.
