After collaborating for Crossing Universes Season 2, WAX-based games NFT Panda and Alien Worlds are back at it once again with the launch of Season 3.
The third season started on December 15th at 12:00 UTC and will end on February 5th at 12:00 UTC. It marks a collaboration between NFT Panda: World of Fantasy, and Alien Worlds Planet Magor Syndicate, with the new season featuring key changes that have been made thanks to community feedback. Some of these new changes include increasing NFT utility while adding Shines, Sharpening, and more.
When it comes to prizes, the main pool for this season includes 100k MAG, while chest allocation is set to 50k MAG.
With this new season, players can now send NFTs using any of the 3 cells in the slot, with the left cell used for AW NFTs from crew.worlds and arms.worlds, while the central cell is for AW NFTs from faces.worlds and the right cell is made for adding an NFT Panda Heroes NFT. The developers suggest using all 3 types of NFT “to get the best results!”
Space Crystals now have utility, as this mined mineral can now be spent as a currency in the NFT Panda Store in order to get special loot boxes, giving players a chance to earn some rewards without ranking to the top of the leaderboard. The below image displays how many Space Crystals you can get from each NFT.
In Alien Worlds, there are 5 types of Shines: Stone, Gold, Stardust, Antimatter, and XDimension. To go from one rarity to the next, you need to combine 4 NFTs. By using a Shine together with your NFT for mining, it is said that you can get more Space Crystals, with Gold providing a 20% bonus while XDimension awards the highest, 35%. The Stone Shine does not seem to offer any bonus.
Sharpening is a new mechanic through which players can enhance their NFTs in order to increase the amount of Space Crystals mined. You can do this multiple times to the same NFT, leveling up the Sharpening level all the way to 10. The further you level up though, the lower the chances of the process being successful, with any failed attempts decreasing the NFT’s Sharpening level by -1.
This mechanic can be used by paying 2 TLM and 8 wood in the shop.
