Following the launch of NFL Rivals Player Cards support on the Mythical Marketplace, the developers have now published a breakdown explaining the attributes that a Player Card can have.
Every base or limited edition card has a couple of attributes that affect in-game performance. There are core attributes, which are the ones that apply for players of any position, while other attributes have a greater impact on specific positions. Core attributes are strength, speed, quickness, acceleration, and presence, while other ones could be endurance, throw power, and more.
Strength affects how successful a player is in making tackles, and blocking them too. Speed determines the highest speed at which a player can run, while quickness is about how easy players can change their direction on the field, with the spin and juke abilities also covered under this stat. The acceleration score tells you how swift a player is able to reach their top speed, while presence is about the player’s awareness, vision on the field, that is, how good they are at determining the situation going on around them.
When it comes to other attributes, endurance is crucial for ball-carrying positions, such as wide receivers, quarterbacks, tight ends, and running backs. The higher the endurance, the more stamina players have while running with the ball. Another attribute that is important for these positions is the carry stat, which determines how good a player is at carrying the ball, and is set to be vital to these positions “if fumbles are introduced into the game.”
