Over the weekend, Off The Grid launched its newest Battle Pass called Red Ant, bringing a fresh dose of action to players. The latest pass brings a fiery set of themed content, matched with a hard-hitting patch that tweaks core mechanics, improves visuals, and adds a brutal new cybernetic weapon. Players can now dive into this free to play battle royale, with a Steam release scheduled later this month.

Red Ant Battle Pass: March In, Guns Out

With the latest battle pass, players can unlock new Red Ant character skins, the Red Carded emote, and the Mavinga Red Ant weapon. There's also the Wolf Tamer loyalty weapon skin, available as a loyalty reward for early players.

This update stays in line with OTG's cyberpunk style, adding new visual flair without losing the game's gritty tone. The new cosmetics feel like a natural fit, giving players more ways to stand out in battle.

Cyberlancers: New Cyberlimb Slashes into Combat

One big addition in this patch is the Cyberlancer cyberlimb. This new gear will allow players to launch toward enemies while deploying a blade from the knee. It not only causes direct damage but also applies a bleed effect to the victims.

Cyberlancers can now be found in ground loot and HEX drops, giving players a new reason to explore and fight harder for one of the game's most savage tools. With high mobility and brutal close-range power, Cyberlancers might just change how players approach skirmishes.

Gameplay and Movement Tweaks

The June patch also brings a host of gameplay upgrades, especially around movement and extraction mechanics. Players using the jetpack will now notice increased slide speed and distance, making map traversal feel faster and more fluid. The jetpack landing roll now travels farther too, helping skilled players chain together movements for quicker escapes or surprise attacks.

The HEX Extraction Terminals have also been adjusted. Players can now interact faster with terminals, and a clearer system for hacking and resuming extraction has been added. Heatsinks now trigger clearer sound cues, and the XP bug related to knockdowns has been fixed.

What's more, the game is getting a new Victory Screen. Instead of a basic win notice, winners now get a thunderous cinematic overlay that highlights their dominance to everyone.

Weapon Balance and Sticky Surprises

Assault rifles have also been adjusted, with bullet velocity reduced by 10%. Spread has been tightened, and recoil patterns made more stable, leading to a more controlled and skill-based shooting experience.

There are also updates to some cyberlimb abilities. The Slugger limb now drops a larger puddle of sticky goo, slowing enemies to a crawl at 0.25x base speed. Its goo also spreads more effectively, covering a wider area. Meanwhile, the Slamfist limb received a fix to ensure weapons unholster properly if a charge is cancelled mid-swap.

Polish Across the Board

Beyond combat and visuals, the update also tackles several UI, lobby, and localization issues. Full-body skin previews now load correctly, and scoreboard scaling no longer causes odd overlaps. Even a typo in the Orange Puffer Vest's name has been cleaned up.

Performance fixes were also made to improve lobby FPS, address camera clipping on death animations, and resolve shadow bugs from ziplines.
