New Competitive Season Axie Infinity Has $450.000 in Rewards

Axie Infinity has launched the 19th season of their competitive PVP season with more than $450.000 in rewards. The best players will share a pool of 3000 AXS tokens, which currently has a value of $451.020. The season starts today and will end on December 21st at 4PM UTC+7.

During a competitive season players play against each other, and earn SLP for each victory. As they climb the competitive ladders, players will earn SLP for each victory. At the end of the season the rankings will determine who will win a share of the 3000 AXS reward pool.

Players seasoned in the competitive rankings of Axie Infinity will find it important to note dat the bonus damage for critical strikes and the skill stats effect on combo bonus damage have been adjusted. Now characters with low morale will do less crit damage. Against HP and Speed, the skill trait was quite weak. Sky Mavis now boosted the damage output of skill.

For those who are not in the know, Sky Mavis made some changes to balance the game better. The so-called meta of the game has been adjusted, which will result in players rediscovering the strongest possible team.

It’s safe to say that the past week has been very eventful for everybody involved in the Axie Infinity ecosystem. Sky Mavis launched the decentralized exchange Katana, allowing users to swap AXS, ETH, SLP and USDC. Two days later they also introduced RON rewards for liquidity providers. In short, you need three $200 Axies to play and earn SLP tokens.
