Nemesis Downfall Shares Details on $ND Token Economy

Nemesis Downfall will focus on having a deflationary $ND token economy that consists of an in-game currency pegged to the token, with players set to be able to exchange between the two, using the non-blockchain currency for entering tournaments, competitive games, and other use cases.
Nemesis Downfall Shares Details on $ND Token Economy

The team working on Nemesis Downfall, a free-to-play play-to-earn battle royale FPS, have shared new details on the $ND token economy, revealing various use cases.

$ND Token Economy Details

The game’s economy will work in such a way so that there is an in-game currency pegged to the $ND token, with an on-ramp / off-ramp system currently in the works to enable players to exchange in-game currency for tokens and vice versa. Claims to withdraw will be enabled first so as to “not block rewards distributed into the game.”

The in-game currency is crucial to the token’s use cases, as most of the game’s features work with the non-blockchain currency, leading to direct or indirect impact on the token. Features that are however outside the game itself will include staking and the game’s own marketplace, with the latter running on the BNB Chain and allowing players to trade skin NFTs. Eventually, players will be able to purchase these NFTs through an in-game marketplace, with the option to pay using in-game currency, $ND, or stablecoins. Revenue generated from selling NFTs will be used for reward pools, burning, marketing, development expenses, and so on.

In-Game Features

Players will be able to earn by playing in competitive games, which will require paying for an entry ticket, with the winner getting the majority of the prize pot. The developers will take a certain percentage of ticket sales to cover expenses.

Next to free tournaments, there will be those that require paying an entry fee, utilizing the same model as competitive games to reward the winner.

Another feature to spend in-game currency on will be the seasonal game pass, through which players will be able to attain skins, entry tickets, and more.

A league or badge system is also planned through which players could unlock paid or unpaid features depending on their stats. The developers clarify that they will take great care in designing this system in order to “not implement any pay-to-win bias into the game.”

Through all these use cases, the team intends to make the token have a deflationary supply, with plans to burn a small amount of “all in-game generated economy” to further help make the token be deflationary.
