Nakamoto Games has announced the release of Spooky Run 2, an upgraded version of the original running adventure.
Spooky Run 2 is a browser-based endless runner that puts you in a Halloween-themed world of ghouls and ghosts, said to feature “spooky thrills” and “endless excitement.” It features similar engaging gameplay as the mobile hit, Subway Surfers, and is now live on the Nakamoto Games platform, a play-to-earn ecosystem on the Polygon network.
The game is currently available in “story mode” which means that as of writing, you can't earn the gaming platform’s native token, $NAKA. According to the announcement from the official Twitter/X profile, a play-to-earn version is set to make its way “next week.” When that version launches, you’ll be able to compete against other players for the highest score by entering the game using a ticket, similarly to other arcade games on the platform, giving you the opportunity to earn $NAKA tokens by ranking at the top of the leaderboard.
In the meantime, you can hop on in through a web browser and try the game out for yourself using the link found in the tweet down below. According to the game’s page, the supported browsers are Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera.
Last month, the team launched the Game Developer Dashboard to enable seamless transition of traditional Web2 games over to Web3.
