Developer AMGI Studios revealed a new 2025 roadmap for My Pet Hooligan while launching UGC contest for February, giving its community an idea of what to expect in the months ahead and incentivizing their social engagement through the event with $KARRAT rewards.

What’s New in My Pet Hooligan’s 2025 Roadmap?

After checking “almost every box” from the first roadmap published over 3 years ago, the team is now back with an outline of the many plans they have in store for their third-person shooter throughout 2025.

The new roadmap divides the year into 3 lines representing timelines during which a certain milestone is achieved and continued to be worked on. This probably means that each line spans a period of 4 months. It’s also split into multiple categories, placing milestones in their respective topics.

When it comes to plans related to the web3 game itself, it looks like the developers are gearing up to bring the free to play title from an early access state into an alpha version somewhere between May – August 2025. It will stay in that phase throughout the whole year, after which a beta is likely up next in 2026. A big change not mentioned though is that the game is transitioning from free to play, to pay to play at some point in March this year. That is according to a recent “Game & Jam” community session, of which you can find a summary in the game's Discord server. The early access price will be $9.99, while the launch price will be $19.99. If you download the game now though, you should be able to keep it for free.

Aside from the paid model, looking at all of the categories, the earliest additions players might be able look forward to, possibly by April 2025, include a console program, a new website, a user account system, an alpha version of the game’s own marketplace, a trial of an AI chat buddy, a trial of “Street Kred”, a movie proposal for the community to vote on, Coinbase questing, creator campaigns, marketing content, community game nights, and the Solo Championship. As of writing, registrations for the Solo Championship are still open, and you can sign up using the links found in this official X thread.

Later in the year we could see the marketplace enter beta phase and introduce cross-chain payments and onramps, while the game itself will get mini-games, an extraction mechanism, and the integration of ZuckBots, which are NFTs on Ethereum that will work as in-game companions and have their own mobile game.

As usual, timelines and plans are subject to change. Specific details on each milestone are not available at the time of writing, with more info to be given likely closer to the launch of a certain feature. What Is My Pet Hooligan’s UGC Contest?

The February UGC Contest is a community-focused event that encourages players to make varied content for My Pet Hooligan and share it on social media for a chance to earn $KARRAT tokens. You can make guides, memes, gameplay clips, fan art, and whatever you think is suitable for sharing on social media platforms such as Twitter/X, YouTube, and so on. They recently posted on X however that you’ll get bonus points if you make skateboard guides and game mode guides, as well as esports-type content. Once you post your content, make sure to submit your link in the #ugc-submission channel of the game’s official Discord server. 

The event kicked off on February 10th after the UGC Council Members were chosen, and it looks like voting will start next week. The UGC Council will review submissions at the end of each month and give scores from 1 – 10 using judging criteria that takes into account quality, creativity, engagement, reach, and timeliness. Engagement is measured based on the ratio of comments, likes, and retweets.

There are $KARRAT prizes up for grabs for the top 20 submissions at the end of each month. The rewards are distributed in the following way:

  • 1st place: 3,000 $KARRAT
  • 2nd place: 2,000 $KARRAT
  • 3rd place: 1,500 $KARRAT
  • 4th-10th place: 1,000 $KARRAT each
  • 11th-20th place: 500 $KARRAT each

This is also the first month of the contest, so if you miss out this time around, you can look forward to participating next month. You don’t need to have lots of followers to participate, so if you’d like to help My Pet Hooligan get more attention by making quality content and potentially get rewarded for doing so, then you may want to participate in this monthly contest.
