Mines of Dalarnia Token Sale, Alpha Release and Pets

Mines of Dalarnia, the platforming / mining game we talked about not long ago, released an updated roadmap, plans for the alpha release, pets and information about their upcoming token sale. Running on the Chromia blockchain, Mines of Dalarnia is free-to-play and currently in a testing alpha phase.

Mines of Dalarnia hits us with several updates. First off, they released an updated litepaper with lots of great info aboutgameplay and tokenomics. Secondly, a couple of recent Medium articles provide information about their token sale and reveal an updated roadmap. In related news, Mines of Dalarnia just secured $2.7M USD in funding!

Token sale upcoming

Planning is underway for the DAR token sale. The DAR token will act as both a governance token and as an in-game currency required for equipment upgrades, special items, and other necessities.

Though the game runs on the Chromia network, the token will launch as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain with an option to bridge to Chromia at a later date. Expect to see more information about the token sale in the near future.

Look at the roadmap

Below is the graphic for the their updated roadmap. Coming in Q4 2021 is alpha version 1.0 on Chromia mainnet, followed in Q1 of 2022 for a beta release. We also see some interesting milestones such as the addition of pets, new terrain, and decentralized governance. I'm looking forward to all of those things!

What is Mines of Dalarnia?

Mines of Dalarnia is a mining, platforming, PvE game developed by Worinman Studio and Chromia Studios. Running on the Chromia blockchain, Mines of Dalarnia is free-to-play and browser-based. Racing against time, players mine exotic materials in hostile environments, then use the materials to upgrade their equipment and abilities.

Players own land plots in-game, and rent them out for miners. Plots come in four different terrain types: terrestrial, lava, ice, and darkness. Owners may also upgrade their lands to provide more resources.
