The developers of MetaFight, an MMA management game, have officially announced that the Summer Draft Season is scheduled to start on August 1st and end on September 11th.
According to the recent announcement containing all the details, this upcoming season is divided into 4 different fighting periods, each of which lasts 11 days. In August, professional fighters will be promoting their own limited edition Fighter Cards for their fans to buy. Of course, the goal here is to onboard MMA fans into Web3, but anyone who wants to can buy their NFTs regardless. The MetaFight team will reshare the announcements these fighters make on social media, giving anyone a limited time to purchase these cards that come with “very limited supply.”
The official Twitter post from the team also mentions that they will be introducing new leagues for this season in order to make the game accessible to everyone by providing leagues for both newcomers and veterans.
In an effort to further provide an accessible experience, important new updates to the game will be introduced to make the jump to Web3 simpler. This means that new players will get to register and login using a SSO (Single Sign-On) system, making it possible for players to register or log in using a Google, Apple, Instagram, or Discord account, with an option to link an existing account also set to be available.
To commemorate the upcoming start to the new season, the developers are hosting a giveaway in the below Twitter post in which they’re giving away 1 Bronze Card and 4 Starter Packs.
Earlier this month, MetaFight teamed up with The Sandbox to create an exclusive, time-limited MMA experience in the metaverse.
