MegaCryptoPolis Launches Missions for Casual Players

City building virtual world MegaCryptoPolis is doing everything it can to attract casual gamers, and now they will introduce missions. These missions are part of their virtual world, which goes beyond building gameplay. Supposedly these missions will be played from a first-person perspective.

Currently, players need to invest some money to participate in the MegaCryptoPolis, or MCP3D, economy. Players must purchase a land plot, build a structure, and acquire citizens to work in the building. This barrier to entry can be expensive and likely hinders the growth of the game. And so, the team has begun a big push to develop a free-to-play, interactive world that allows players to walk around and experience the game, without the need for owning anything. They call this update MegaWorld.

Part of that initiative includes missions. MegaCryptoPolis players acquire missions from buildings. Missions may include such things as visiting other buildings and checking production or sales history. The idea here is to familiarize new players with many of the MCP3D concepts in a free-to-play manner. New players will get a Generation K citizen to start playing. However, more advanced missions will require Generation J or higher citizen and may reward the player with a new token called WORLD.

Introducing MegaWorld

As part of the MegaWorld concept, every building interior can be customized by the owner and visited by other players. In addition to changing up the interiors for standard buildings, players also have the option to create a completely custom construction. Inside the buildings, owners can display NFTs or advertisements, offer items for sale, or just make a cool place to hangout.

MegaWorld will also introduce a new token called WORLD. The WORLD token complements the already existing MEGA token. WORLD tokens will be used to create new citizens, customize interiors, and craft special NFTs. MEGA will still be core to the production of resources.

The team has introduced chapters into their roadmap for the MegaWorld release. They will hopefully reveal more details about these additional development plans in the coming months. They include Transportation, Materials, Crafting, and Governance. MegaWorld plans a second demo, but didn't provide a date yet. This demo will allow players to explore the game world by walking down the streets and entering buildings.

The MEGA token exists and players can already use it in-game. However, the WORLD token does not yet exist! So don't purchase any you see until there is an official announcement!

What is MegaCryptoPolis?

You could compare MegaCryptoPolis with a game like Simcity, however it also has elements from The Sims in it. Players can own houses, offices, and factories. Citizens need jobs, jobs need employees, factories produces resources, and so on. All these digital assets are important for the MegaCryptoPolis ecosystem.

In addition the team plans to add interior apartments to the game. This would mean that player-owned characters would have their own home, which could be decorate with furniture and electronics. These will also be ERC-721 or TRC20 tokens, which in turn need to be produced by factories, requiring resources, workers, transport and so on.

MegaCryptoPolis is playable in a web browser, desktop or mobile. Lands are available on both Polygon/Ethereum, and the Tron networks.
