Matrix World, a cross-chain 3D metaverse on the Flow blockchain, has received a new update introducing a creative new feature: The Avatar Editor.

What Is The Avatar Editor?

The Avatar Editor makes it possible for players to customize their avatars in a variety of different ways. Character models have been designed to be a combination of anime and Western art styles while the clothing is said to be inspired by both fantasy and real life fashion, with the announcement mentioning Nufashion, Future Punk, Techwear and Harajuku as sources of inspiration, while stating that customization is not limited to just one aesthetic, but that it is instead possible to combine aesthetics in any way that you like.

Release Details

For this initial release, players are given freedom to pick any style that they want while personaliziing their avatar, allowing you to pick any wearable that you want “without worrying about committing to a particular look yet.” In the future, the team plans on making it possible for artists and animators to craft their own clothing sets, allowing players to buy and trade outfits on more than one blockchain.

The editor lets players choose whether their avatar is male, female, or non-binary. After that, you’re given many customization options that let you adjust hairstyle, skin tone, gloves, shoes, and more.

Last month, developer Matrix Labs introduced the Inscriptions feature to Matrix World.
