MARBLEX, the blockchain gaming arm of Netmarble, has announced an ambitious roadmap for 2025, outlining its plans to integrate web3 technology with a stronger focus on entertainment and accessibility. The strategy aims to onboard a diverse range of games.

From In-House Games to Semi-Publishing

Since its inception, MARBLEX has primarily focused on integrating web3 features into Netmarble’s existing games. However, the company acknowledges that this approach has presented challenges, including limited game releases and a heavy emphasis on RPG titles. In response, MARBLEX is shifting to a Semi-Publishing Model that will allow a broader variety of games to enter the ecosystem.

This pivot is backed by a $20 million joint fund with Immutable, marking one of the largest blockchain gaming investments to date. The Semi-Publishing Model will prioritize game quality over quantity and offer hands-on support for developers, including blockchain integration, business model planning, and marketing resources.

Expanding the MARBLEX Gaming Ecosystem

MARBLEX has outlined several new games set to launch in 2025, spanning multiple genres:

  • Self-Made Billionaire (Q2) – A business simulation RPG where players build their empire and trade stocks.
  • Mercenary Children (Q2) – A collection-based RPG featuring over 45 unique heroes.
  • Dice Go! (Q3) – A real-time Monopoly-style board game incorporating Web3 assets.
  • Meta Toy DragonZ SAGA (Q3) – A collectible RPG with town-building mechanics.
  • PROJECT MINE (Q3) – A farming simulation with resource cultivation and land development.
  • PROJECT X (Q4) – A hero-based action RPG with survival mechanics.
  • Age of Chaos: Mad Island (Q4) – A dark-themed MMORPG with an overhauled skill system and enhanced 2D visuals.

While these are the confirmed titles, MARBLEX has hinted at additional unannounced projects in development.

MARBLEX is improving web3 integration and player ownership in 2025 by making blockchain assets more useful and accessible. One key update is dynamic NFT metadata, which lets in-game assets evolve over time based on player progress or updates. To ensure long-term value, MARBLEX is also developing resilient digital assets, meaning NFTs will stay accessible even if a game shuts down.

The company is introducing deposit and withdrawal mechanics, allowing players to move their NFTs securely across different games. It is also adding NFT-powered gameplay features, where players can trade and use in-game gear, characters, and items across various game genres.

To improve trading, MARBLEX is working with Immutable’s OrderBook API to allow peer-to-peer asset exchanges directly in games, removing the need for third-party marketplaces. These updates aim to create a smoother blockchain gaming experience while giving players more control over their digital assets.

Community & Marketing Expansion

Recognizing the importance of a strong player base, MARBLEX is increasing its marketing efforts through Creator M, a blockchain-powered influencer program that rewards content creators through smart contracts. The program saw success with Solo Leveling: Arise, generating over 12 million views across 300+ videos. Moving forward, MARBLEX plans to extend Creator M to all Netmarble games.

To further boost engagement, the company is developing NFT Adventure, a gamified NFT platform that launched in 2024 with Koongya Restaurantz and will expand with global intellectual property (IP) collaborations in 2025.

2025 Goals & Industry Outlook

MARBLEX has set clear goals for 2025, including:

  • Onboarding 10+ new games into the ecosystem.
  • Increasing active player base by 40%.
  • Enhancing token burn mechanisms to stabilize in-game economies.
  • Boosting player retention and engagement.

With Netmarble’s continued support, a growing list of blockchain-integrated games, and a focus on fun-first gameplay, MARBLEX aims to establish itself as a major player in the web3 gaming space.
