Blockchain game publisher MARBLEX revealed it had signed a new business agreement with Microsoft to work together on blockchain game publishing and AI-powered innovation. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed a day earlier, on October 15, during a formal event held at G Tower in Seoul, South Korea. Present at the ceremony were key leaders from both companies, including Hong Jin-pyo, CEO of MARBLEX, and Min Ju-hong, Head of Gaming Business at Microsoft Korea.

This new partnership marks a step forward for both firms as they look to shape the future of web3 gaming using Microsoft's AI tools and cloud solutions.

Game Support and AI Integration Through "Accelerator"

As part of the deal, MARBLEX and Microsoft will launch a program called "Accelerator." This will support the web3 game ecosystem by providing tools, technical resources, and guidance to developers. Central to this will be Microsoft's AI technologies, including Azure, Azure Open AI, and Copilot Studio.

These technologies are set to play a key role in strengthening the MBX ecosystem, MARBLEX's blockchain gaming hub. By tapping into Microsoft's tech stack, the program will seek to enhance tools used in web3 game production and help scale blockchain-based titles for broader use.

Building the MBX Ecosystem for Global Web3 Games

The goal behind this partnership is to build a more competitive and global MBX ecosystem. According to MARBLEX CEO Hong Jin-pyo, the partnership goes beyond simply using Microsoft's tools. He stated, "This cooperation is not merely about adopting technology. It is a strategic partnership that may set new standards for web3 game publishing. Together with Microsoft, we aim to build a competitive MBX ecosystem in the global web3 gaming market."

This statement reflects the broader ambition behind the deal, which includes boosting the reach and usability of MARBLEX's onchain offerings. The companies will also develop global GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies together. These are set to help expand the market share and brand visibility of both firms in the web3 gaming space.

Microsoft's Take on Web3 Gaming and Azure's Role

Min Ju-hong from Microsoft Korea also gave insight into how the company sees the partnership. He said, "Our collaboration with MARBLEX will serve as a strong example of how Microsoft's Azure-based cloud and AI technologies can generate positive synergy within the global Web3 gaming industry. We plan to cooperate across various domains, from technical support to marketing and ecosystem expansion."

With Azure already in use across major tech industries, its application in blockchain gaming signals Microsoft's growing interest in web3 platforms and new gaming formats. The AI stack mentioned in the MOU (Azure Open AI and Copilot Studio) suggests a focus on smarter game making, more responsive game systems, and faster development workflows.

New Web3 Titles Coming to MARBLEX

Other than the Microsoft deal, MARBLEX has confirmed plans to grow its web3 game lineup by the end of 2025. Two new titles are expected to join the platform soon: Villains, a MOBA title, and Kritika, an action RPG. These games will integrate directly with the MBX ecosystem and are part of a larger effort to add more variety to the catalog.

Collaborations with Immutable and Other Platforms

In parallel, MARBLEX also continues to work with other blockchain partners to improve its publishing capabilities. One of the major names on that list is Immutable, a well-known platform for onchain games. These ongoing tie-ups will help MARBLEX improve its tools and reach across different markets, keeping its services flexible and widely accessible.

Games Under MARBLEX

MARBLEX's platform spans a mix of in-house Netmarble titles and third-party games, each with its own web3 features. These games help anchor the MBX token economy, offering both casual and competitive play.

One of the longest-running games in the lineup is A3: STILL ALIVE, a dark fantasy MMORPG built around large-scale PvP modes and battle royale gameplay. It features open-world exploration with intense combat systems, including 100v100 field battles and a unique Conquest mode. The game also features over 270 collectible Soul Linkers, expanding the strategic depth of its real-time fights.

Another flagship title is Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, which combines anime-inspired visuals with a storyline that mixes fantasy and VR. It continues the legacy of the original Ni no Kuni series while weaving in blockchain layers, such as token-linked economies and player-owned assets. Players take on the role of Soul Divers trying to rebuild a ruined kingdom, with PvE and social elements forming the backbone of gameplay.

Meta World: My City turns real-world cities into a digital board game experience. Built as the follow-up to Let's Get Rich, this metaverse title combines property development with strategic card play. Players roll dice, claim land, and compete for resources while customizing avatars and maps tied to real geographic data.

3rd-party games also contribute to the diversity of the platform. Pocket Girls: Idle RPG offers idle combat with rapid level progression and cinematic battles, where players collect fighters to reclaim a ruined world. With starter-friendly systems and short sessions, it adds a more relaxed play style to the MBX catalog.

Self-Made Billionaire brings in corporate management mixed with live stock trading. Players compete in real time to grow companies, buy and sell shares, and dominate through lawsuits or takeovers. This economic sim combines classic business mechanics with multiplayer interactions for a web3 audience.

In Meta Toy DragonZ Saga, players collect pixel-style toy dragons and rebuild the world of Blocktown. The game offers over 300 collectible dragons, with daily dungeons, PvP arenas, and team-based raids. Launched on mobile in August, the game is also integrated into Immutable Play, where players can compete in leaderboard events to win MBX tokens and Gems.

Another exciting title is Dice Go: The Showdown, a fast-paced dice-based board game that mixes luck and tactics. Players roll dice to claim land, build landmarks, and challenge rivals in 1v1v1 or 2v2 real-time matches. With two play modes (Classic and Fortune), Dice Go appeals to casual players and leaderboard chasers alike. There's also a live event on Immutable Play handing out 43,500 MBX tokens to top players until late October.
