After going live last week, MapleStory N now rewards players with a limited-time boost to EXP and NESO earnings as part of its launch celebration event.

MapleStory N is a web3 reboot of Nexon's classic MMORPG, built on Avalanche's Henesys Layer 1. To thank its growing community, the team has rolled out the Enhanced Reward Experience—a two-week bonus event packed with increased NESO drops and EXP boosts.

Enhanced Rewards to Power Up Your Journey

Running from May 17 to May 31 (UTC), the NESO X EXP Drops Event makes this the best time to level up fast and earn valuable rewards.

Here's what players can expect:

  • 100% bonus NESO drop rate in field areas
  • Up to 7,900% bonus NESO from boss battles
  • Mystic EXP and Honor EXP coupon boxes from field monsters

This major boost to the game's reward system allows players, known as "Maplers", to gain experience quickly and earn in-game tokens at a faster rate. Though it's initially off-chain, NESO can be converted into on-chain tokens. These on-chain NESO let players create NFTs from their game items and trade them.

Boss Rewards Surge Across the Board

Boss fights are more rewarding than ever. A wide range of bosses are already offering increased NESO rewards. Some of them include:

  • Damien & Lotus (Normal): +7,900% NESO
  • Papulatus (Chaos): +5,900% NESO
  • Vellum, Magnus, Cygnus (Hard/Chaos): +2,900% NESO
  • Mid-tier bosses like Pierre and Queen (Chaos): +1,900% NESO
  • Entry-level bosses like Hilla and Horntail: +400% to +900% NESO

Even if you've defeated these bosses before the event, Nexon has confirmed that extra NESO will be distributed to eligible players soon.

Field Monster Drops Include Tradeable Coupons

Beyond bossing, monster hunting in the open world also gets a boost. Players can now earn Mystic EXP Coupon Boxes and Mystic Honor Coupon Boxes, which are mintable and tradable as NFTs.

Use a Mystic EXP Coupon and you might get:

  • 1.3x EXP for 15 minutes (30% chance)
  • 2x EXP for 15 minutes (18% chance)
  • 3x EXP for 15 minutes (2% chance)

Honor EXP Coupon Boxes work similarly and can grant up to 100,000 Honor EXP, with probabilities ranging from 15% to 0.1%. Note that all coupons must be used by May 30 at 23:59 UTC, as they become non-tradable after the event ends.

How to Join the Enhanced Reward Event

Every player in MapleStory N is eligible—just log in and engage with the activities listed in the Reward Dashboard. You'll automatically enjoy the enhanced drops while exploring fields or defeating bosses. No registration or special terms are required.

What Is MapleStory N?

MapleStory N is a web3 version of the classic MMORPG. While it maintains the beloved 2D side-scrolling gameplay, it integrates new blockchain-powered systems that offer player-owned NFT items, gasless transactions, dual-token economy with NESO as the in-game currency and NXPC as the utility token, as well as Reward Experience 2.0, where items are finite, tradable, and hold long-term value. 

With over 31.5 million on-chain transactions and nearly 1 million wallets registered during public testing, MapleStory N is off to a solid start.  

$200,000 Global Stream Clash Kicks Off

Other than the reward event, Nexon has launched the Global Stream Clash, a global contest offering $200,000 in total prize money to streamers who broadcast their MapleStory N gameplay.

Anyone can sign up now until May 23, with the official streaming phase taking place from May 24 through June 2. During this time, participants will tackle bingo-style mission boards, each filled with tasks that must be completed during a live broadcast. 

To keep the competition fair, all streamers must start from scratch using a new character. No existing gear or characters are allowed.

Streamers will climb the leaderboard by completing missions, with rewards handed out based on their performance. Entry is free and open to anyone who can stream. 

With both the Enhanced Reward event and the Global Stream Clash in full swing, MapleStory N is giving players and creators some great reasons to jump in. Whether you're leveling up, collecting loot, or just having fun streaming your journey, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
