The Sandbox has announced its partnership with Hong Kong CMT companies, PCCW and HKT. This strategic collaboration is significant for the global adoption of Web 3 as it is the first interaction between a Hong Kong CMT company and the Metaverse.
The partnership involves the acquisition of virtual lands in the Mega-City neighborhood - a Hong Kong-themed cultural hub that recently launched its second phase. This move is in line with the eventual goal of the companies to launch the world’s first virtual 5G mobile network and transform traditional film, TV and music content into a refreshing form of entertainment for Web3.
