Mahjong Meta Introduces Major Change & Teases New Updates While Providing Recap of Progress Since Beta Launch

Mahjong Meta is back with the introduction of a major new change, while giving its community a recap of what has happened since the game’s beta launch, and providing an explanation on how players who meet certain requirements can claim rewards.

The latest update described as a “major change” by the developers is the ability to earn MJM through an active point reward system. MJM is the game’s upcoming governance token, and the team has now made it possible to earn it ahead of its official launch through gameplay. This of course means you won’t be able to withdraw it for the time being, but once it does get listed the team will likely provide an update on how to cash out your earned tokens. The team says that the community can consider this new update as a way of saying “thanks for supporting Mahjong Meta and diving into the game!”

That’s not all though in terms of updates, as the team is planning on pushing out another patch that introduces a referral system as well as a host of enhancements. More details on these upcoming additions will likely be given by the developers in the near future.

Alongside announcing the major change, a recap of the game’s progress since the beta launch has also been given, revealing various stats to show the success of the open beta. This beta phase marked the launch of 0xMahjong and 0xTama NFTs, which the announcement states that the two collections together managed to achieve a trading volume of over 500 ETH on OpenSea. Holders of these NFTs can now claim rewards by following the instructions found in the Medium post linked in the tweet down below. There are also rewards for players who participated in the beta test, closed test, or MOOAR sale.

The official version of Mahjong Meta came out last week on August 7th. Shortly after, the team announced a successful funding round in which they secured $12 million, with the round led by Dragonfly.
