The renowned gaming company, Magmic recently announced its new game at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The game will provide a brand new Web3 gaming experience in Major League Baseball (MLB) for mobile and browser users.
Notably, Magmic is the company behind “UFC Fight Card Rummy” and “Idle Pet Paradise,” and is now expanding with the new blockchain-based game. Moreover, the title is not revealed yet but it will be an “Idle Tycoon” where players can build their own baseball stadium experiences.
Additionally, the new game features MLB and MLB Players Association licensing. The CEO of Magmic Mo Agha revealed that players can build and expand their MLB ballpark and trade players in the game.
The company was established in 2002 and gained its fame as one of the premiere developers of Blackberry games with the Texas Hold ‘Em King franchise and various other titles. Also, Magmic’s games have been downloaded more than 250 million times from around the globe.
Not to mention, it has a huge player base as per a press release made official by the company. Magmic has developed games by taking inspiration from several notable intellectual properties over time. This includes a mobile version of Hasbro’s Scattergories powered by ChatGPT, a real-money rummy game on iOS, and more.
According to a press release, the CEO of Migmic, Mo Agha said, “The game is intended to be fun and easy-to-play and will allow [...] sports fan and mobile gamers a chance to utilize a player-to-player marketplace and in-gameplay player ownership that leverages Web3 technology.”
Further, she added, “It is Magmic’s vision and commitment to create an enjoyable gaming experience while also allowing true in-game asset ownership that truly sets it apart in the new world of Web3 gaming.” The new game will support Web3 as well as Web2 games and allow digital trading of assets with new features.
