The developers of Legends of Elumia, a blockchain MMORPG backed by Animoca Brands, have recently revealed that the public launch of the game is set to take place next week. As a result, the public beta, which went live in December last year, has now been closed in preparation for the game’s official launch.

On March 30th, the team announced that the public game build is officially complete and ready for release, as planned in their roadmap. As a result, they’ve decided to share same details in the game’s official Discord server before the build is out in the open, explaining what will during what they refer to as the game release phase, while also talking about what’s in store for the blockchain title after it has launched.

During the game release phase, which has already begun, the developers will keep the servers shut down for a couple of days in order to successfully deploy the public game build. After that, the build will become available for all to enjoy, and with it the live economy will be enabled, while various improvements and bug fixes will also be included. The latest build will also feature offhand weapons, jewelry items as well as NPC shops dedicated for Champions and Battlemages.

With the Elumia economy going live together with the build, this means that players will be able to turn Dust that they earn in the game into Elumia Krystal Shards (EKS), an on-chain token. It’ll also be possible to convert the token into Dust.

In order to level the playing field for everyone, the official release also means that all progression made throughout the beta version of the game will be wiped, while any progress made from the game’s launch and onwards will not.

After the game releases, the developers will introduce a minting feature that will allow players to turn their items into NFTs, making it possible to trade for them. For more information, you can head on over to the game’s official Discord server that is linked in the tweet down below.
