After being acquired by Triumph Games, Legends of Elumia is heading to Immutable. In a recent X post, Immutable confirmed that the fantasy MMORPG will now run on its blockchain. This new update brings a fresh chapter for the title, which combines deep role-playing mechanics with on-chain gameplay.

What Is Legends of Elumia?

Legends of Elumia (LoE) is an online RPG where players explore, battle, and trade in a vast fantasy world. Built with AAA graphics and classic MMO features, the game allows players to fight enemies, complete quests, and earn items that can be traded or upgraded. LoE also supports PvE dungeons, PvP arenas, guilds, and custom characters. Players get to own their in-game assets, such as NFTs representing characters, equipment, land, and buildings.

Past History with Solana and Ronin

First built on Solana, Legends of Elumia was supposed to expand to Ronin. That announcement came on January 29, when the team posted an official statement about "bringing Elumia to Ronin." That's why a large part of the community believed the move to Ronin was well underway.

Ronin Event and Community Engagement

On March 4, Elumia launched a 4-week Ronin Legends event. Players could join by purchasing a Game Pass for 10 $RON. The event also featured five levels of battle passes, ranging from 10 to 100 $RON. A total of $100k in raffle rewards was also announced, to be distributed after the event ended on March 31.

Then, on March 29, it was posted that the Solana and Ronin servers would be merged. A few days later, on April 2, Triumph Games officially acquired Legends of Elumia. Soon after, the game's servers reopened for players on both Ronin and Solana, with full access enabled on April 18.

Free to Play and Discord Merger

By April 25, the community and game team completed a merger of their Discord server with that of Triumph Games. On May 9, the team reported they had received the final paperwork from Sky Mavis, which had been delaying the rewards distribution. Just weeks later, on May 23, Elumia adopted a free to play model.

Despite the earlier push towards Ronin, the game never fully moved to that network. In a follow-up X post on May 30, the team clarified the situation. According to the statement, the previous studio sold game access through Ronin, but the game itself never moved to the Ronin chain.

In the same update, the team confirmed that all $RON earned from Game Pass sales went directly to the players. As proof of this, they published the results of a 10-winner raffle with a prize pool of 6,754 $RON. Each winner received an equal portion of the prize.

A Timeline of Announcements

Looking further back, Daniel Droege, a web3 game analyst, shared a timeline of events surrounding the project. He noted that as far back as April 7, 2023, the game's FAQ had been edited to state that the game was multi-chain. This helped set the stage for the future announcements about both Ronin and Immutable.

Elumia's move to Immutable signals a new direction under Triumph Games. While the network supports features like asset trading, minting, and item upgrades, the focus now is on making the game more accessible and future-ready. Elumia will continue to offer its familiar mix of MMO gameplay and on-chain elements as it enters the Immutable ecosystem.

What to Expect

The game is now live on both PC and mobile, featuring guild-based PvE missions, city-based PvP battles, and NFT asset ownership. The team has not officially confirmed this, but like many games building on Immutable, Elumia is expected to support Immutable Passport in the future.

As development continues, the game stays rooted in classic MMORPG mechanics while adapting to broader web3 systems.
