WEMADE has launched a global teaser page for Legend of YMIR, a hit MMORPG first released in South Korea earlier this year. The game is now preparing for a worldwide launch in the second half of 2025. It will include new P2E features powered by the WEMIX network, making it one of the most talked-about titles coming to web3.
The teaser page, live since June 16, gives players early access to updates and lets them sign up for news. This follows a strong start for the game in Korea, where it hit No. 1 on app store popularity charts and topped Google Play's sales rankings.
Legend of YMIR is based on Norse mythology. Players take part in events that lead up to Ragnarok, the end of the world that comes every 9,000 years. The game lets players earn WEMIX tokens through gameplay. Its slogan, "PLAY YMIR, EARN WEMIX," sums up its new direction for the global release.
The game uses blockchain to control how items are made and upgraded. Only a limited number of coins can be used for crafting and boosting gear. Some high-end items are made into "NFIs", or Non-Fungible Items, which means they can't be copied or faked.
WEMADE says that full details about the game's new token system will be shared soon on the teaser page. For now, players can sign up to get early updates as the launch date gets closer.
Legend of YMIR is just one of several new titles set to launch on WEMIX. Last week, WEMADE confirmed two more games coming to its web3 platform.
The first is Avatar Life – Love Metaverse, made by 101XP, a studio based in Cyprus. This is a social sim game where players can design their avatar, decorate their home, and make friends in a virtual world. The game includes over 800 clothing options and more than 1,500 furniture items. It already has a large fan base, with 1.6 million monthly players and 200,000 logging in daily. The WEMIX version will add blockchain support, likely making game items into digital assets that players can own and trade.
The second title is Idle Fantasy, a collectible idle RPG from Hong Kong studio Game Winner. The game launched in 2020 and has since pulled in over 6 million downloads and earned ₩190 billion in revenue. Players build teams of ancient heroes to fight monsters and explore a fantasy world. The WEMIX version will add NFT features and P2E systems, giving players new ways to earn as they play.
Another big game coming soon is ROM: Golden Age, a web3 version of the hit MMORPG ROM: Remember of Majesty. The original was published by KakaoGames in 2024 and launched in 10 countries. It was a top-seller on Google Play, hitting No. 2 in Korea and No. 3 in Taiwan. It also won "Best Game" in the Google Play PC category in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The new version will be made by RedLab Games and will bring the full MMORPG experience to the WEMIX network. Players will be able to earn and trade digital tokens in-game. The team says the game will use a model called "Unlimited Minting, Guaranteed Value, and Simple & Fast P2E," making play to earn easier and more rewarding. It will launch in Q3 2025 on WEMIX PLAY.
While we wait for more gameplay info, you can look at the original game for clues. The web2 version lets players choose their class, build their gear, summon guardians, and join guilds. It has events like Territory Wars and Siege Wars, offering intense multiplayer battles. The new blockchain version will likely build on this but with added rewards and onchain features.
With that, WEMIX is steadily adding new titles to its growing web3 platform. These upcoming releases will join existing games like MIR4 and Night Crows, which have already brought web3 gameplay to a broader audience.
