The developers of Last Salvation, a free-to-play multiplayer RPG coming to the Aptos blockchain, have shared a sneak peek showing us gameplay footage of the game’s early alpha version.

Sneak Peek Details

Revealed last week, the community has been given almost a minute of alpha footage showing us gameplay in its very early stages. In development in Unreal Engine 5, the video shows us smooth third-person traversal around abandoned ruins as a medieval warrior wielding an axe that can be thrown as a boomerang. It seems that players will be able to swiftly move around environments by dashing, flying and double jumping, meaning we can probably expect to experience some fast-paced gameplay in the future.

Details on when the game will launch do not seem to be available at the time of writing. In the profile’s first Twitter/X thread posted in March this year, the team explained why they chose Aptos for their upcoming Web3 title. There they listed scalability, security, interoperability, community support and innovation as the 5 main reasons for choosing the layer 1 blockchain.

According to the thread, Aptos is designed to handle high transaction volumes while providing a secure environment with formally verified contracts, protecting the project from various threats while preventing any hiccups in the gaming experience as the playerbase continues to grow. Thanks to interoperability with other chains, Last Salvation will be able to seamlessly integrate with other existing networks, while the diverse Aptos community is set to bring various collaboration opportunities for the free-to-play title. As Aptos continuously gets updated with new features, the project will too potentially be able to make use of them in order to provide an even better experience.
