Blockchain game developer ONPlay Studio has launched the closed beta version of Land of Prosperity, bringing the game to the BNB Chain testnet in order to give everyone a safe environment to test out the game’s core features and be potentially rewarded for doing so.

What Is Land of Prosperity?

Land of Prosperity (LOP) is a play to own strategy game where each player receives a personal land block as the foundation of gameplay. Each land block is an NFT that can be customized, upgraded, and evolved over time. Players place buildings, trees, water items, and other structures on their land in order to increase production of Point, the in-game utility token.

Every land block begins as a 16x16 area. Each block is either Tropical, Desert, or Ice. Terrain type affects item performance. Tropical land increases the yield of trees and water-based items. Desert land increases the yield of mining-related items and wind power structures, while Ice land increases the yield of energy-related buildings. Land blocks also appear in several rarity levels. These include Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Special Super Rare. Higher rarity blocks provide flatter terrain, higher yields, and improved item placement.

Players can obtain additional land through Loot Boxes. These boxes contain land, buildings, or items. Loot Boxes appear in several categories, such as Tree Boxes or Water Boxes, and in 3 tiers. Starter Boxes include basic items. Standard Boxes provide improved chances for rare items. Premium Boxes provide the highest chances for powerful items.

The game includes a repair and durability system. As a land block produces Point, its durability decreases. When durability reaches zero, the block stops producing Point. To restore functionality, players burn an item or building from their inventory. Items also come in multiple rarity levels, which increase production and visual appearance. Players can attempt to upgrade items by combining 3 identical NFTs of the same rarity. Combination attempts can fail, and the NFTs used in the process are removed from circulation.

Weather and time effects are planned for future updates. The game will eventually reflect a player's real-world conditions by showing matching time of day or weather, which will influence Point production.

How Does LOP Closed Beta Work?

The closed beta for Land of Prosperity is available through whitelisting or referral links. Beta access is limited to 50k players. Whitelisted players receive early entry and a free Land Block that might include an Uncommon or Rare Block. Players who enter through referral links receive Common Blocks when the game reaches its mainnet launch.

Whitelist access is distributed through several methods. These include participation in official campaigns, events, and social activities. Users who participated in the ONProver program should receive a Prover Pass. This pass verifies prior contributions to the Orochi Network and makes the holder eligible for whitelist spots. The snapshot for this seems to have alraedy been taken though. ONtegrity NFT holders are also eligible, so long as the asset was being held before snapshots were taken. Snapshots occurred on November 17 and November 20.

Closed beta participants can mint their Land Block on the BNB Chain testnet. This process requires faucet tokens for minting. Streamer communities have also provided whitelisting forms for limited entry. Each whitelisted user receives 10 referral links that can be shared with other players.

Once users join the closed beta, they connect their wallet, mint a free Land Block, and begin constructing their layout. Players can place buildings and items to increase Point production. Strategic placement matters because moving or removing items costs Point. Synergy between items can also increase yields. For example, placing facilities that perform well on Tropical terrain will increase income on Tropical land.

The closed beta includes daily tasks and one-time tasks that reward Loot Boxes. These tasks help players gather items faster. As items accumulate, players can upgrade them by merging duplicates. Points earned through gameplay can be spent in the store on new Loot Boxes. Loot Boxes can also be minted into NFTs and traded.

Players can claim earned Points by visiting their Land Block. The system has a storage limit. Once the limit is reached, production stops until players claim accumulated rewards. A save button records progress.

The in-game inventory allows players to mint buildings and items as NFTs. Minted items can be withdrawn from the game to the blockchain. Players can also sell items and Land blocks on external NFT marketplaces.

The closed beta is designed to gather feedback from players in order to adjust systems before the official launch. The development team states that community involvement is an important part of the project. Suggestions from players influence game features, item design, and balance adjustments. How to Join Land of Prosperity Closed Beta

To join the closed beta, users must hold a whitelist spot or use a referral link from an existing player. Whitelist spots are earned by engaging with official events, following the project on social platforms, or participating in Orochi Network programs.

Whitelisted users access the closed beta through the Land of Prosperity website, as the game is a browser-based title. After connecting your wallet on the BNB Chain testnet, you can mint the Free Land Block with enough tBNB, the test token that can be acquired from the chain’s official testnet faucet. Minting provides an Uncommon or Rare Land Block for use in the beta. Players who join through referral links receive a Common Block during the official mainnet launch.

With everything set up, players can begin constructing their land. Players place items, generate Point, complete tasks, and explore the structure of the economy. The closed beta also allows users to mint and withdraw NFTs. The process appears inside the inventory panel, where players choose an item and click to mint.
