B3K Games has officially confirmed that KAI: Battle of Three Kingdoms, its highly anticipated web3 strategy game, will enter Early Access on April 30, 2025. In preparation, a PC browser-exclusive Load Test will take place on April 28, offering players a limited first glimpse at the battlefield and giving developers the chance to fine-tune performance ahead of launch.
The load test will run from 11:00 to 14:00 UTC+8, with full participation instructions to be announced shortly via the official KAI SANGOKUSHI TAISEN X (formerly Twitter) account and website.
Load Test: What to Expect
The April 28 session will serve as a technical stress test rather than a full gameplay preview. During this period, players will experience only a limited feature set, focused primarily on matchmaking, server load stability, and the game's real-time tactical battle systems. The test will be restricted to PC browsers, with no mobile or standalone client access available at this stage.
Developers have confirmed that no player data or progress will carry over to the official Early Access launch. Instead, the goal is to identify and address potential scaling issues under live conditions. Emphasizing the technical nature of the event, the development team clarified that this session is not a marketing showcase, but a critical backend trial to help ensure a smoother and more stable Early Access rollout on April 30.
Early Access Launch on April 30
Following the load test, Early Access for KAI: Battle of Three Kingdoms will officially launch on April 30, 2025. Players entering Early Access can expect real-time tactical battles, commanding squads drawn from legendary figures of the Three Kingdoms era.
Core mechanics will include deck-building systems, allowing players to customize armies by strategically selecting heroes, units, and tactics. A competitive PvP ladder will also be available, offering rankings and seasonal rewards.
While the game is built with web3 integration in mind, including plans for unit ownership, tradable assets, and blockchain-based tournaments, developers have emphasized that the initial focus during Early Access will remain firmly on gameplay quality.
The Game: Strategy Meets Web3 Innovation
KAI: Battle of Three Kingdoms draws inspiration from classic Three Kingdoms lore, combining fast-paced tactical battles with on-chain ownership mechanics.
Each match pits players against each other in real-time using squads assembled from legendary Chinese generals and soldiers. Deck composition, timing, and battlefield control will determine victory.
Eventually, B3K Games plans to allow players to own their units and cosmetic assets on-chain, trade items in decentralized marketplaces, and participate in staking-enabled tournaments.
However, these blockchain features will roll out gradually, with Early Access serving as a proving ground for gameplay balance, technical stability, and community feedback.
Community and Roadmap
Following launch, B3K Games plans to:
- Implement seasonal competitive play
- Introduce tokenized in-game assets
- Expand maps and faction rosters
- Launch player-governed tournaments tied to blockchain rewards
The studio emphasized that player feedback during Early Access will heavily shape the pace and structure of future updates.
Developers also confirmed that participation in the Early Access phase and live events will earn players early adopter bonuses. However, specific details on token rewards, NFTs, or airdrops have not yet been disclosed.
Players eager to test the battlefield can mark their calendars for April 28, and prepare to enter the war for the Three Kingdoms just two days later.
